"A leaky roof in just the right climate combined with an insurance company that drug their feet on my roof claim meant I got mold at my house. Other companies quoted 2x what these guys do for the same work. They were professional and timely with everything, from the initial testing to the insurance paperwork to the actual treatment. They took care to explain things and were polite. I had to leave them alone in my house for a period of time so I could go to work for a few hours and they proved trustworthy and took care of clean up and everything. If they had a question, they called me. And they changed my air filter. I hope I never have mold again, but if I did, these would be the ones I'd call. Residential or business. Big or small. These guys have you covered and at a price that will not leave you at the poorhouse. I really can't say enough good things about them."

"The owner was on time and easy to deal with. An air quality test was done throughout the home. The areas where the black spots were located were discovered not to be mold. The owner could have told me it was mold and I would not have known the difference."

"Everything went very well. They were very thorough and professional. They removed all of the materials (sheetrock, tile, insulation, etc.) that had been affected with the mold themselves. They did not leave it for me to clean up. The area was treated for mold and we were able to return to the home that evening."

"PuroClean showed up and began immediately to dry the damage floors. They also worked with our insurance company helping them understand the damage caused by the leak in a very short time, like less than a week. They were professional and provided Value for the their work including drying the damp areas from below the floor and above removing the possibility of a mold issue."

"It was raining, and they were starting to put the chemicals out. I told them it probably wouldn't be a good idea because the chemicals would wash away. The worker admitted that the rain would wash away the chemicals he put outside, but would work under the eaves. I thought they shouldn't have sent someone out when it was raining. I asked them to remove cobwebs and treat for spiders, however, he missed many cobwebs. I had to keep telling him about the things he missed in each room. He told me the chemical he was putting inside my house was not to kill the spiders, but to deter them. He could not treat the ant hills because it was pouring rain. His attitude was as if he was not that concerned about getting rid of the pests. I would use them for termite control, but I am not sure I would use them again. If I found a better company that was doing this for the same price, I would definitely not use them again."

FAQs for mold & toxic material test projects in Red Banks, MS

Some companies offer a no‑cost phone or video consultation that screens for red flags. If the discussion points to a real issue, the pro will recommend a paid on‑site inspection. The complimentary call clarifies whether you need full testing, but it isn’t a substitute for samples, lab work, or a written report. Always confirm what the free service covers before you schedule.

A standard inspection, which includes basic air and surface samples, takes an average of two hours. If the pro needs to probe hidden spaces, such as wall cavities or ductwork, plan on up to six hours. Extra time allows the inspector to reach tight areas, collect additional samples, and document findings. Lab analysis is a separate process and often adds several business days to the overall timeframe before you receive the full report.

Mold thrives where moisture lingers and air flow is poor. Common hotspots include bathroom walls, kitchen backsplashes, window sills, HVAC vents, fireplaces, crawl spaces, and enclosed attics. Check these areas regularly—especially after leaks or high‑humidity weather—to catch growth early and avoid costly repairs.

Unchecked mold can knock 20% to 37% off a home’s market value because buyers worry about hidden damage and health risks. Even after remediation, visible staining or a history of major moisture issues can still lower offers and prolong the time on the market. Addressing mold quickly protects both your property’s structural integrity and its resale appeal.
