"Within a day or two of our inquiry, owner/manager Kyle Hodges was here to evaluate our problem and give an estimate for the work he discussed with us. For several weeks we had been bailing rainwater round the clock from the trench that had formed at the front of our home and using dozens of paper towel rolls to absorb water. Kyle saw the seriousness of the problem, brought his co-worker Matt who would do the work to help plan their project and scheduled a date. Matt was excellent and very thorough. So far the work they did has solved the problem successfully, and we look forward to their return in the spring for more corrective landscaping. "I received estimates from 5 contractors, some for timber replacement, some for block. A natural look was important to me, and I seriously considered timber, but timber today won't last 30 years (due to restrictions on using arsenic). The Solid Brick Contracting initial bid was pretty much the same price as timber, and acceptable in anyone's book, but when I told Oscar I was leaning toward timber because of the more natural look, he showed me the stacked stone EP Henry product. I have 2 other stacked stone and mortared stacked stone walls, and looking at photos, I thought the EP Henry product might actually look pretty good, even against those, and it does. There were some rain delays, but workmanship, design, professionalism, were all excellent. No cost over-run, and they had the proper equipment for the job. What exceeded expectations was the beautiful long sweep of a gently curved wall. Can't do that with timber. It was a substantial project, but I am really happy with the result."
