"We are beyond ecstatic that we found and hired Castlewood Construction LLC for our two custom decks. For one, they tore out an old, existing elevated deck and designed/built a beautiful enlarged deck with improved walkways, staircases, and lighting. For the other, they built a beautiful large floating deck over an existing concrete patio. This deck required overcoming the challenges of following the rounded margins of a large part of the concrete patio, and designing/building a connecting tiered walkway from this new deck to the entrance door of the nearby She-shed. Every aspect of the end result for both decks is even better than we could have imagined. This is especially remarkable when you consider that the crew was hampered on nearly every work margin by the proximity of trees and tree roots, shrubs, perennials, retaining walls, electrical lines, and/or the house foundation. Incredibly, there was no damage to our house or the landscaping. They also pointed out problems, e.g., flashing needs, and addressed them within the quoted price. Every aspect of these projects - consultations, design, and communications, were timely, easy to understand, and very helpful. The owner and his crew treated us like family. "Went great. We asked for some changes to patio shape and Dan did just as we asked. He used wall pavers that he removed from previous retaining walls to repair and add to a retaining wall behind the garage. The patio travertine is gorgeous and the granite edging was well done. His work was done well, quickly and neatly. Repairs were made to lawn from heavy equipment used and it came in beautifully. He gave us great instructions which we followed 😀. "Top notch work was done to our bi-level house. Tim, Timmy and Steve built a 2nd story deck for us and we absolutely love it!
