"It was carefully thought out and had to be completely taken down to the original pipes and plumbing in a bathroom 65 years old. The bathroom did not meet requirements or even the parts required now, so everything had to be measured and fitted with updated materials. Added to that, the house was not grounded electrically. All new breakers had to be installed with GFI connections. A window in the shower wall was removed, and the wall and vinyl siding removed and replaced. Insulation was installed in the attic, with new light fixtures, fan, and heater in the ceiling of the shower/tub. All of the very old ceramic tile had to be removed from very old flooring, and old crumbling wall tiles throughout the bathroom. The bathroom was originally 2 small rooms with 2 sinks and 2 toilets. It’s now a whole nice-size bathroom, with one toilet, a double sink, a linen closet, and storage space. The walls between had to be removed, and 4 doors removed. This was a huge time-consuming job, and Mr McGilliad did every step, communicating with me to ensure that I approved of changes made. My new bathroom is beautiful. I would love to have him back when I need anything done with care and experience and kindness again!"

When our grab bar was inadvertently omitted, the ordered one and came to install it at our earliest convenience. They also replaced a transition piece that had not been cut properly. "We discovered a small roof leak and called Consolidated. Van Stallings came out the next day and gave us a quote. We had used this company before and were so pleased that we didn't feel it necessary to look further. They came within the week and took two days to do the job. We had lots of roof! They went all the way to the plywood and had to replace 11 pieces (but we expected some of this). I liked that Steve the project manager took pictures of where the plywood was bad so I could see what they replaced. They removed the non-working power vent and added ridge vents where needed. All the various vent covers were replaced. New flashing was installed around the chimney and skylights. We also had a gutter system installed to help keep the leaves from clogging our downspouts so quickly. They use excellent materials and really do have one of the best warranties in the business. To finish off the job the crew did an excellent job of cleaning up the area. They worked tirelessly and professionally.
