The owner diagnosed the problem as a bad spring bar and charged $450 for a ?heavy-duty? replacement and new rollers. The issue was never fixed. The door would stop short of closing and reverse. Months later, he claimed my foundation had shifted and added shims, then contradicted himself by saying the spring bar he installed was bad. Despite spending over $1,000 on repeat visits, the problem still exists in 2026. When I contacted him again, he was rude, dismissive, and tried to avoid responsibility by saying the work was done years ago, even though the issue has been ongoing since the initial repair. He did not remember his own diagnosis or keep proper records. Overpriced, ineffective repairs and terrible customer service. I would not recommend this company."

"It went very well. We remodeled three bathrooms, had a floor done in one of them, painted one the bathrooms. Very professionally done. The sub-contractors were reliable and cleaned up after themselves when they left. All trash was hauled away by them. "TBG replaced the spring mechanism on our garage door a couple of years ago, and I was very pleased with their service and price. So when our door started not to open correctly, I called Omar to come and check it. He told me the drive motor was beginning to go, and that it might continue to work ok for weeks or months or years and would then just stop working altogether. He gave me a quote for a similar replacement. After a few weeks the door was just not opening smoothly, so I called Omar back and he came out within 24 hours. He brought with him the original unit he quoted for, and a Liftmaster 8550WLB, which had a bigger motor, drive belt (v's chain) and WIfI capability. It was $75 more expensive than the one he originally quoted, but cleary offered a lot more features - including the capability to check to ensure if the door has been left open. Without feeling pressured to select it, I chose the 8550, and Omar had it fitted within a couple of hours. He also checked and lubricated the rest of the operating system. As previously, I highly recommend TBG for any of your garage door needs."
