They didn't bother to check the water or cleanliness. And then told me I had to pay for a plug (which should be included in the price of the closing). Then another $250 for the closing."

So rather than write out each and every detail of what transpired with our situation, I'll just leave it to say that for quite a long time Finn's did the service at our pool. There were countless issues and delays but the worst was when I needed them to work closely with another contractor/vendor and not only was he rude and unwilling to help me, it ended up costing me several thousands of dollars. I would never in a million years recommend his company or his team. There are countless pool companies, so do your research!"

"Our pool is 35+ years old. Watermark Pool Services updated our pool with new tile, new coping and new plaster about 10 years ago. This year, we needed a few repairs, plus my husband always wanted sky blue plaster. This company's work crews are knowledgeable, efficient and courteous. I wouldn't want any other company but Watermark doing the work on my pool! We absolutely love our "new" pool and the blue plaster looks amazing!"

"What we had hoped was going to be a concrete slab repair and carpet install turned into a total basement remodel (HVAC ducts in the slab abandoned, asbestos remediation, new HVAC duct work installed, framing/carpentry, drywall repair and finishing). We contacted Phoenix Home Services to take over this ever increasing endeavor. They managed the entire project, on budget and on time, and kept us updated throughout. When an issue arose…unexpected plumbing and electrical relocation…they brought it to our attention and were quick to determine the options, adjust their crew and keep moving forward. Their entire team was friendly, professional showed up at scheduled times and adjusted to accommodate our needs. At one point they were ahead of schedule, so we added re-screening our porch. Thank you Phoenix, Steve and the whole team for stepping in and stepping up to take this on. We could not be more pleased with the entire experience and quality in the final product."

"Initial rep was great and informative. Felt comfortable with initial sale. Hardly had any contact from customer service except for the payments. There were several delays that we were not informed about unless we called to ask. Took 7 months before they showed up to begin project. Only 1 person was sent to build steps. Took a week. Hard worked, hardly took a break. Had to call again to see when they would come to pour patio. Never knew when they were coming, they just showed up. Hardly spoke with the homeowners. Inspection paperwork was just left on porch. Additional paperwork that is "required by the County" had to be completed by homeowner and taken to Court house to be notarized and filed and also provide a copy back to Long Fence. Time sensitive materials which added to homeowners to-do list. Gave this contract to LF on the surface of their history and appearance of a 'good local company' but should have stayed with original contactors in VA. Puddle of water forms when it rains"

"I purchased 11 windows from fairway on 6/27 with a 4-8 week timeframe. They said it may run up to 9-12 weeks due to supply delays and that was fine with me. After 3 months I contacted them and was told they aren’t in with no estimated arrival date. I continued to call and sometimes I was able to get through to the receptionist who was always in her car and didn’t have any additional information to provide. She would always say that Gary would get in contact with me but out of all the calls I made, I was only able to speak to him once. I continued calling and by late October they finally said 5 were in and agreed to install them which was done on 10/31 and said they would discount me $150.. They did not notify me that they were coming to install on that day and left the door to my unit open but at least half were done so I was somewhat relieved!! I proceeded to call until late December and they continued to say no windows. At this point, I asked to cancel them because I was looking at selling and since over 6 months had passed I no longer had need for them. They said this wasn’t an option and that it would have to be canceled through the manufacturer. I asked for that number but they wouldn’t provide it and said she would have to call to check. No update was ever given. Now we are at mid March, a full 9 months since ordering and I have given up on receiving the windows. They required half a deposit upfront which was 2001.58. The windows that I did not receive were going to require more work removing the steel so they were more expensive than the 5 I did get. So in short, over the last 9 months, I ended up receiving half my order and paid $2000 of the $4000 bill but only received $1375 worth of my order. I feel liked I was scammed out of my money for services that were never going to be provided and I just want a return of my deposit that was taken from me. Now after seeing how many others are in the reviews experiencing the same thing I filed a complaint with BBB and my credit card company."

"American Home Contractors and Hugo in particular were great to work with. We had multiple jobs done which required several trips and Hugo kept us informed and worked around several weather delays. He relocated and installed a new attic fan, hooked up the bathroom fan to a new roof vent, insulated a pipe in the attic, installed apron flashing on four windows, painted the flue vent, reconnected some lose siding and replaced three pieces of rotted trim and painted it. The work appears to be top notch and we appreciate the hard work and long hours Hugo put in! I would definitely recommend this company and most certainly Hugo to everyone. We also had American Home Contractors replace our gutters and install gutter guards. They did an excellent job with that as well."
