"Sales person Alice, who is also a hortoculturalist and got along famously with my landscaper wife, came out a few months ago to meet with us and give us her pitch. I'd already researched window tinting and decided if I was going to have the windows in my home tinted I wanted a 3M product. They invented window tinting and offer a guarantee good for as long as I own my home. <br /> After the initial sticker shock we knew the Prestige line was the way to go and pulled the trigger for June 13th. <br /> 2 installers came out about 8:30 as expected with everything they needed to do the job. I was off that day so I hung out with them 'till they finished. They set up and started to work quickly. They were knowledgeable, efficient and quiet. 2 of the windows they did were up in my great room starting 12' up and going 5' up from there. They brought in their A frame ladder and laid down a drop cloth before putting up the ladder. They cleaned the windows flawlessly and trimmed excess sealant from the edges. <br /> Took 4 hrs to get all 28 surfaces covered. I had a check ready for them but when they were done the didn't want a dime. I could pay them now if I wanted or I could send in a check later. Or I could call the office and pay by credit card. <br /> I called the office the next day and talked to the lovely and gracious Harriet who took my CC info, told me she would register me w/3M and sent me a paid in full receipt. <br /> This so amazing to me - I can't tell the film is on the window. As they finished a window I'd inspect it and I literally could not see any gaps anywhere in any of the windows. <br /> I turned off the AC to see how long it would take the sun to heat up the house. <br /> Latter that day as the afternoon sun burned through my kitchen windows I stood directly in it and was AMAZED that there was almost no difference between in or out of the sun as far as the heat goes. The interior temp barely budged after 4 hours. Until now I wouldn't be able to stand in that spot and the home was built in '07 w/all E glass ! <br /> I can't wait until the dog days of August. <br /> I can't say enough about the company and the product. <br /> In this case I absolutely got what I paid for."

"They took their time, in a good way, made sure the match was exact, that the windows were clean so their were no bubbles, and even cut the film a little shorter so that when windows are closed it will not peel, bubble or wear. <br />"

"We needed more ventilation in our master bathroom and a skylight that offered the ability to easily open and close was the answer to that requirement.   <br /> The salesman arrived as scheduled, and after listening to our requirements and looking at the existing skylights, presented options that led us to our final selection.  We were impressed with the quality of his products and were also impressed with a list of commercial customers that selected his products and services in the past. <br /> The installers arrived on time and proceeded to remove the old skylight in the master bathroom. This part of the job was all done from the exterior of the house in about one and a half hours.  Next they installed the new skylight and provided excellent interior trim work in about two and a half hours.  The completed job was very professional.  They then explained how to control the device with the remote and also explained various other features of the system. <br /> Next they removed two old skylights in the TV room and installed two standard replacement skylights.  This portion of the job was completed in a little over an hour. <br /> We are extremely happy with the finished installations that were provided as promised with little effort on our part.   <br />"

"I had left my car at body shop and they were to deliver to service center (just down street) for the regular service. Somewhere between the body shop and the service center, a huge gash was put in my front tire. I just happened to notice it when inspecting - they apparently did it and/or missed it in the supposed safety inspection they were supposed to have done as a part of regular service. The service center claimed they didn't do it (and admitted they had missed it in alleged safety inspection even though it was huge and very obvious) and said I'd have to work it out with the body shop. So, I had to have them put on spare and drove to body shop. The person I dealt with there claimed it didn't happen there, that must have happened at service center, but agreed to replace the tire for free. Overall, just very unprofessional on the part of the service center. I was satisfied with body work and grateful for the one female staff member at body shop who agreed to replace the tire. Wouldn't deal with Brown's again for anything and would instead choose West Broad VW who have always seemed much more professional and with whom I've never had trouble. Picked Brown's this time solely because I could get the body work and regular service done in the same trip. But I would rate Body Shop as a B and the Service Center as F."

"Solar Eclipse was responsive to our request for a service estimate. He came to our home at our convenience and provided a written estimate with supporting window film materials to allow us to pick the level of tinting we wanted. When we had 2 other estimates come in from other outfits that were under his price, he worked with us to understand the differences among the films (and why theirs were inferior in quality), he offered to install more comparable films and beat their prices. As it ended up, we stayed with his superior product at the original price. At the time of installation, we asked him to add on the master bedroom sliding glass door windows, if he had enough materials left over from the big windows. He completed all this installation in just one day, traveling approximately 2 hours each way between our home and his office. We were very pleased and would recommend him again."
