"A-1 fencing did a great job with my fence and deck. When we requested an estimate with A-1, they came right on time (actually came earlier because they were already in the area) and listened patiently to everything we wanted to get done. They took care of the city permit for our deck and fence while we took care of the HOA permit, which made it very easy for us since we only had to manage one of the permits. Cesar and the team at A-1 was very responsive to my emails, texts, and calls which I really appreciated. When building the actual fencing and decking, the workers were really polite and meticulous. Our house overlooks a pretty steep cliff and our door leading to the deck is very high, so I applaud them for being able to create something so beautiful for us given the conditions they were facing. Throughout the process, Cesar updated me on the timeline of everything and anytime I had a question, I could always call him and have my questions answered. "Buyer Beware Run Away! (we dealt with the Veterans Hwy office) Fence and Deck Connection is an unprofessional organization that "installs" fences poorly. Don't beleive me, keep reading. We hired Fence and Deck Connection to install roughly 10 feet of privacy fence and gate. We assumed that they were professional enough to plan, execute, and provide quality control for the project. Well none of that is true. Chris, the project manager, failed to plan, control, or lead the project. He delivered the wrong plans to the crew which put the fence in the wrong spot swinging the wrong way. The first attempt at our fence was wrong in every way. They had to come back--take it all down and rebuild it from scratch. Chris povided no leadership or quality control during the process. In fact, he couldn't be bothered to come back and check the work. On the first go the crew dumped dry concrete mix down the fence post holes and when confronted about it Chris attempted to claim this a dry pour. He said that this will harden with ground moisture into solid concrete. The crew that installed the fence on both occasions were not properly equipped to do the job given that the fence parts are not even cut to the right dimensions. To be clear we just left the "fixed" version with its poor install quality alone becasue the issues aren't worth having the fence rebuilt a third time. Things like the gate not being even, or that we were told by Bob, who is Chris's boss, that the fence was going to need be adjusted by September-- 5 months after install. The company treated us with a lack of respect and a lack of professionalism when it came our justified complaints about the wrong install, poor communication, customer service and workmanship. In fact, Joel told us that it was essentially our fault that the fence was wrong for providing the wrong plans, when the company was in fact in charge of that. Leaving aside the blatent deception with the "concrete" with no water-- which is all on video. I am sure this low-grade company will try to convince you that we are unreasonable customers or that they fixed it so all should be forgiven. Sure, we are unreasonable for thinking they should do a good job. Yes we are unreasonable for thinking that we should not have to watch them to make sure they do a good job. We are unreasonble for being insulted with a $100 Amazon gift card as a "good faith" gesture as if the issues weren't that bad when they had to completely replace and remeasure all fencing and gate. The time for them to make it right was immediately, and to leave a good impression started on day one. They left us running away. They demonstrated a lack of professionalism--sneaking onto our property to install the fence the first time saying nothing and sneaking away saying nothing when finished. The project manager couldn't even be bothered to keep the basics straight. Where the gate goes, how big it should be, where the posts go, what plan the workers needed-- nothing. This company is utterly incompetent and no matter what deal they offer you it is waste of your time and money."

"I reached out to All American because of the very impressive work I've seen done in my neighborhood. I only needed two 6" posts and a gate fixed on my existing fence, a relatively small project. I called and spoke to Tania, who seemed happy to look at pictures and provide an estimate. After 11 days, I received two quotes. I selected one of them, responded, and after 28 more days and no reply, had to call again to follow up. She recalled the conversation, and stated she'd provide a contract. I followed up the next day with an e-mail stating same. After another eight days and hearing nothing, I decided to move forward with another company. If the job was too small, or the company too busy, I would've preferred they just tell me."

"We had two projects we wanted done – deck and paver patio. We received onsite visits from four different companies, three of which submitted bids for the work. From the time that John K. walked on site, we knew we were working with a different type of company. He spent time to walk through property grading, drainage and helped us customize a deck and patio solution that fit our classic/modern profile and budget. Next he took us on site to a local stone distributor to ensure we were happy with our choices of stone and other materials to be used on the project. John worked with us throughout the design process making several changes along the way to ensure we understood what we were getting, and that his designs fit our needs. John made several suggestions that added additional touches to the project, and surprising did not add to the expense. The end design was more than we had imagined for the space. John introduced us to the project manager, Thomas, who in turn introduced the foremen for the stone work (Rocque) and deck build (Ozman). The deck work started first and Ozman and his team were relentless in their work. The deck was built in less than 2 weeks from ground breaking and would have been done sooner if not for some substantial storms. From excavation to finishing touches they moved quickly while providing high quality craftsmanship. When finished, they left our yard and more importantly, our brand new Trex deck in great condition. We LOVE it! Next John scheduled our patio install. The product arrived on site a couple days before the crew arrived. Once on site they worked quickly excavating the site and moving the excess material to a location of our choosing. The bulk of their time was spent on the fine details beneath the surface which will make a difference for years to come. Rocque and his team are artists with a stone saw. They cut precise circular patterns with ease, and made some tough design elements seem easy. They finished the patio off with matching poly sand and the end result made us want to use the space immediately. We are now about 3 months post closing and have recommended John and his team to several of our friends & neighbors. We feel like the deck and patio are what makes our back yard and have already gotten significant use out of them over this season. John and his team have stopped by to make sure we are still happy with the results and check in on any punch list items – which were few and far between. If you are in the market for a new deck or patio, don’t hesitate to call these guys. They were the best combination of craftsmanship and price we could find, and delivered beyond our expectations.
