"Abatement and Remediation are not for the weak or weary - whether managing a personal or professional project, proper containment practices and efforts are essential. I will forever recommend and promote All Clear Environmental - a family-run business with hands-on customer relations. Larry Enos and his son, Beckett, put forth great effort to communicate, assess, and manage the process in good faith. All Clear's team of Rigo et al, handled the physical abatement and remediation, in our home. Rigo and his team made us feel 100% safe, confident, and secure throughout each stage - which was no easy feat with children and pets, in a home. And while there are no accolades for being second-round mold recipients, we hit the jackpot in working with All Clear. We have worked with other companies only to be left with poor communication, a tendency to be overcharged, and dishonesty. Beckett was available almost 24/7 to answer questions via text and live calls. When I felt doubt, Beckett made time to discuss alternative avenues and ensure our best interests were at the forefront of every decision. I recommend All Clear Environmental to friends, neighbors, and strangers with 6/5 stars. Your house is your home - and mold is personal. A company that recognizes the need to love your home well, is a gem beyond measure. Thank you, All Clear Environmental - good people attract good people! Gratefully, Jackie"

"Steve provided excellent on-site recommendations and provided a very comprehensive report follow-up which provided us with all of the information that we needed to resolve the 'false alarm' that the tenant had created.   He was very professional, prompt and TIDY."

"<p>If you just want to get a report and no explanation or implications of the report, then I suggest you call Same Day mold testing because that's all you're going to get--a one page report.  NO explanation or follow up about the findings of the report.  However, if you want someone who is VERY knowledgeable in the area of molds and takes the time to explain to you about the process, then you want to call Chuck from One Source.  I wished I had called him the first time around, that way I would have had my mold issue resolved.  He is not only knowledgeable but seems very concerned for my well being.  I called him in the morning and he made his way over to my house later in the evening, going completely out of his way just to give me an inspection.  At the house, he took the time to explain the issue and was very patient with all my questions.  He not only explained everything in great detail but he wanted me to walk away understanding the entire process ie. mold remediation, testing, and insurance claims.   Don't let the purportedly HIGH reviews from the other mold testing facilities fool you, especially one day mold testing.  All they want is your money.  They don't care if you pass the mold test or not. Chuck wants you to pass the mold test and will do what it takes.  He's unlike anyone I've encountered in this kind of profession.  I can't say enough about him.  Please give him a call, you'll be glad you did. Your peace of mind will thank you.</p> <br />"

"This company is very professional for businesses and large problems but if you have a smaller home job like i had, I'd recommend finding another company. I'd never dealt with a mold issue before and i liked that they would take care of everything, which is why I selected them. But after the mold part, i could see that it was going to be very expensive for me so I stopped wirh them and took care of it elsewhere. The reason is that most everything for the damage in one corner of a small room resulted in the quote being "qty 1 unit" minimum and in the end i felt I was paying too much. The contract was very complicated and gives them a lot of flexibility to add more later. That makes sense since damage cases can have unknowns, but i figured the initial quote allowed for some unknowns. I had mold, termite and dry rot damage that was hidden for years due to an unseen roof leak in the wall. They opened the drywall, which i had partially opened already, sealed the area and eliminated the mold. They did a neat and good job. That was $3000 and they did a good job with plastic, clean-up, mold removal. And i had to pay $1800 more for asbestos check, lead check, and final mold testing. That's ok, but i didn't realize in advance how much the other company that they called in would be, with no warning. I accept that now, but maybe I could have had those tests done more cheaply. But in retrospect Scope seemed high to me anyway. They charged for every roll of tape and plastic expected to be used, with no adjustment at the end. But at the end they added another $300 for a job supervisor (not in the original quote) which i think is part of the job for a small homeowner and need not be extra. Especially because they did what they quoted. There were no extra surprises behind the wall. I would understand for a large business, etc. So, the next set of work was going to be to fix the damaged wall and the roof. The wall damage was taking a long time to quote and the roof was already being quoted at $1700 above the $4200 quote I had gotten from an experienced roofer who saw the damage. They even said in the roof quote that they wouldn't haul out the debris. So i stopped them, got a termite repair place to fix the wall the next day for much less than what Scope waa preparing to charge me, and I will also get a guarantee on my roof from my new roofer, and i found a drywall person. So I'm just saying, as a homeowner with what I now consider a minor issue, i would not recommend this place. But if I had a major job or wanted to not deal with it myself, I'm sure they would be great. They had a great contact person (Kathleen) who always kept me informed of progress and workers were good. All their trucks looked new so my neighbors were happy. In the end for me, the cost was my issue. I predicted with Scope this would end up being about $15,200 total. Now, on my own, it will be about $10,000. That makes a big difference to me. And to finish this, I'm using licensed contractors, not guys on the corner."

"This company was chosen by the a/c company installing our new a/c system and the cost for the asbestos removal was handled by the a/c company. <br /> <br /> Two workers arrived as scheduled and went right to work. One worker used regular masking tape to cover the a/c grills and I had to point out areas he missed. The procedure was explained to me and they responded to my questions. They wore white coveralls and masks as they worked in the crawl space where the ducts were located. When they were finished in the crawl space, they took off their coveralls and masks. They started to do the second part of the work which was to remove a big pipe with asbestos inside the house. I noticed one worker put on his white coverall and mask but the other worker did not. This inconsistency made me wonder how thorough/consistent they were with the work in the crawl space. (Fortunately, I had a separate company complete an air test after the removal.) The workers took away all the bags and informed me I will receive a certificate in a few weeks. They worked non-stop for about 4 hours. When they left I saw that they forget to put back the cover to the crawl space. After a few weeks, I received the certificate showing where the asbestos was taken. <br />"

FAQs for asbestos abatement projects in Riverside, CA

Asbestos is a group of six naturally occurring mineral fibers once commonly used in building materials because of their resistance to heat, electricity, and corrosion. However, in 1975, research confirmed that these fibers cause mesothelioma and other cancers, leading to strict usage laws. If your home contains asbestos, removing it can prevent long-term health effects. You'll often find asbestos in the flooring, ceilings, pipes, and roofing of homes built before the 1990s. Common asbestos-containing materials include vermiculite insulation, vinyl flooring, millboard, and corrugated roofing. If you suspect you have asbestos or any of these materials in your home, it's important to hire a reputable abatement company to perform testing.

Currently, there is no federal licensing mandate for asbestos removal contractors. However, certain cities and states require certification and specialized training. For example, in some areas, contractors handling asbestos must receive an Asbestos Handler Certification. Be sure to check your local laws to ensure any contractor you hire meets the necessary requirements.

Homes constructed before the 1990s can conceal asbestos within building materials, and testing provides a definitive answer. You should have your home tested by a certified asbestos inspection service. This professional evaluation identifies hazardous materials and determines whether removal or encapsulation is necessary. Testing safeguards your family’s health and supports smart budgeting for remediation.

Federal law does not require you to disclose the presence of asbestos when selling your home. However, certain states and local jurisdictions impose disclosure regulations that you must follow. Testing and professional remediation confirm that hazardous materials are properly managed. This proactive approach not only meets legal requirements but also protects your property’s value and buyer health.

Asbestos removal affects a home’s resale value because hazardous materials can deter potential buyers. Having toxic substances present lowers buyer confidence and may reduce the property’s value by 1% to 15% if not addressed. Professional remediation ensures safety standards are met and preserves marketability, protecting your long-term investment.

Grants exist at both federal and state levels to support asbestos testing and removal projects. Local housing programs may also offer financial assistance when asbestos is discovered during home repairs. Meeting certification and testing standards is required to secure these funds, which help to manage overall project costs while ensuring safe remediation.
