"Very happy with the work done, as well as the communication along the way (from quote - based on pictures I provided - to the install). Quote was quite a bit higher than I expected, but I learned from neighbors that chain link fence costs for small jobs are quite high (based on their experience with quotes for small chain link fence jobs). Very professional, high quality work. They were able to fit me in pretty quickly (just a couple weeks compared to 6-12 weeks with other companies). Highly recommend."

"The Bieri brothers did a great job communicating, collaborating and working with us to install a wood fence in our backyard. They were timely and efficient, despite the freezing temperature working conditions. The pricing was reasonable and competitive with other local fence professionals. We enjoyed working with them and would definitely recommend!"

Customers say: Quick response

"Not only did Scott do a great job installing my fence around my patio, he installed my fence in the middle of winter, while the ground was still frozen. He also chopped down a couple of trees for me. Scott did a great job installing my fence, the price was right & my fence looks nice!! Anytime you need outdoor work, you should reach out to my guy Scott @ Maeder Enterprises. They all do great work all year round, even in the winter!"

"This was disappointing. We’ve been a customer since living in the area for 30+ years. So naturally I called them when there was a problem with my mother’s AC, as she now lives nearby. The AC unit was buzzing but the fan was not running. Unfortunately I could not be there for the repair, but all went well and the AC was back up and running. Then I saw mom’s bill. The repair cost was $495 for a ”Voltage Enhancement System Rejuvenation”. Something I’d never heard of and, according to a little research, doesn’t seem to exist. So I took a look at the unit and saw they replaced the capacitor, a $75 part, and cleaned the fan vents. I could have understood maybe $300, but according to Todd, who I called today, it's a “flat rate charge…and we have overhead…but we didn’t charge for the diagnostic”. He insisted the charge was fair and wouldn’t consider adjusting it. Now he understands that they just lost two customers, one a previously happy, longtime customer."

"I highly recommend Cedar Works for your next deck project. We couldn't be happier with the outcome. The installation and results of the deck and cable rail surpassed our expectations. Pat and Mike, the father and son duo, showcased meticulous attention to every detail. Their exceptional craftsmanship, coupled with their genuine kindness throughout the entire process, solidified our confidence in choosing Cedar Deck for our project."

"Scott was a referral from my sister-in-law Laura Y. It seems like in the 10 years since she reviewed him his work has gone down. I hired him to repair and restore a custom deck that my late husband had built. We walked around the deck and showed the things that needed to be done. He gave me a quote with specifics on it and I approved the job. He did what was on the invoice and basically NOTHING MORE. He knew this was a restoration job and it would have scope creep. There were areas that obviously needed to be repaired. I noticed a couple post with ant damage and requested he replace them and he did for a cost. But anything I didn’t call him out on he didn’t address. Scott just smashed putty into the bad spots. There were areas where he over tighten a screw and worsened a crack. He shoved blocks under sections of the rails rather than fixing them properly. Of course I was invoiced for those additional repairs when he left. I was out inspecting the decks and there’s multiple areas that were repaired with putty and the putty has since already come out. His work ethic to make sure the job is done and done right is AWFUL. I am very disappointed in his work and would never hire him again or recommend him. Additionally, the whole time he was working at the house he had such a poor attitude and moody beyond belief, as if it was my fault that he lives an hour away and that it was raining for a week. He should have recommended the areas where replacement boards were needed and suggested a repair. Please look at the photos to see what he considers a finished restoration job. The icing on the cake was when he threatened to take me to small claims court because I complained and wanted him to finish the job. What a piece of work he is!!!"

"Beware of hiring MARK TEUFEL of Farmington Hills, MI (21st Century Window / Home Restoration). This review is about his BAD WORKMANSHIP AND A BREACH OF CONTRACT. April 2014: Our roof was damaged by hail, and he came to put a new roof on that summer. March 2015: first leaks in the kitchen, living room and upstairs bedroom. Mark came to “fix” it and blamed ice dams. He actually just repainted the drywall and injected insulation over one part of the roof (which now we believe that it actually plugged up one of the soffit vents and prevented proper air flow). We naively believed that everything was fixed because we trusted Mark. January 2018: we noticed leaks in the exact same areas that were supposed to have been fixed by Mark. These leaks ruined the previous paint job and now need a repeat paint job. Upon inspecting the attic, we found dripping nails, soaked particleboard, and ruined insulation from rust and wetness. All of this damage should not have been there if Mark properly fixed the roof in the first place. Mark blamed insufficient insulation and wrongly installed baffles, but why didn’t he say anything about that when he first put the new roof on in 2014? When we asked him this question in January, he said he was not required to fix any insulation or baffles as per the insurance moneys. We found this strange, especially since a professional roofer wouldn’t let something important like that affect his final product. (Another roofer later mentioned that it was Mark’s responsibility as per code to tell the homeowner if there were any concerns regarding insulation or baffles.) It is also important to note that Mark and his employees were the only people in the attic since he put the new roof on. His quick fix for this time was to cover the ridge vent with a green plastic tarp that we had in the garage. At this point, we started thinking something was strange (especially since the tarp would close off any ventilation and possibly cause mold), so we called other roofing companies to take a look. All 4 companies we had over agreed that Mark’s work was done poorly while cutting corners, including the following: -One area of siding was completely missing on the roof. -Missing flashing around chimney. -Missing flashing between house and roof peaks allowed bats/mice to settle inside. -Garage ridge vent was peeling off due to nails not being of proper length. -Breach of contract: our insurance moneys included replaced gutters, sky lights and other things. Mark’s roofing quote amount was exactly the same as the insurance quote, but his contract didn’t specify that he was to replace those things. We believe he expected us to not understand the insurance documents. We also believe he overstated the cost of replacing the roof in order to match the moneys that the insurance company was offering, and scamming us of items that should have been fixed. This is all unacceptable since he was paid to fix the roof with insurance moneys; instead, we got more damages to deal with. We took him to small claims court, and were told in court by his attorney that our only choices are to go to mediation or to district court. We decided neither because it won’t be worth all the money and stress to hire expensive attorneys, and instead chose to write our experience online. Buyer beware; you MUST do your research and get informed about the services you are hiring people for! We lost so much money on this, and just hope that our lesson can help others. He takes your money and isn’t honest to admit the error in his work. He talks a lot and doesn’t listen. He is not to be trusted to get the job done properly."
