"We found this company on Angie's list and reviews were great. We spoke with Kevin about getting an estimate and they came out the next day to give us a quote. When we called to set up a date for repair, they came out the same week! I had expected the job to take all day but they worked hard and were gone shortly after lunch. The job turned out to be more work than was expected because the chimney was in bad shape and the back corner of our house was falling off and had to be completely rebuilt. We were skeptical of the inspection results, however, due to the rather unprofessional nature of the pair who did the job - The mason openly criticized Angie's List ("She's a *** to work with"), while the chimney specialist seemed to be there only to up-sell services that were needed following the inspection results.
Speaking of, the inspection results indicated that a chimney repair was needed, which we were quoted over $4000 for (the "up-sell).  We (wisely) contacted another highly-rated chimney specialist (Dr. Flue) for a second opinion.  They, too, found things that needed repair, but had a more reasonable quote for a better repair product.
