"Phenomenal business. Jessica and her team from Better Yards and Gardens have completed three major patio and landscaping projects for us over the past two years. Beautiful quality work, superb communication, fair pricing and flexible scheduling. We are very pleased with our new outdoor spaces and highly recommend the company."

"These guys did a great job. John came out to give me an estimate and he suggested a couple of different ideas to update the existing landscaping. They were able to start work on the project within a couple of weeks and completed the job very quickly. The people doing the work were very friendly and took time to explain to me what they were doing and let me make choices about the planting placement. The end result was amazing! I think I got a great result for a good price. The price included removing all the existing rock and plantings from the previous landscaping."

"Really well - i have used several small landscapers (and even other contractors) over the years, and Josh was by far the best overall experience.  I got his name from a friend who used him for a larger project last year.  I think the price was fair but not cheap, hence my B rating there, but honestly I was not really able to get an equivalent bid from anyone else.  So i could be wrong there.   Overall the experience from sales through design and execution was great.  Josh is knowledgeable and easy-to-work-with, not typical pushy sales.  He worked with us on a great design from my rudimentary sketch, and it turns out to be EXACTLY what we wanted.  We engaged him in the fall, and they were not able to get the project done before winter (although he had never promised to.)  But he said we'd be first on the list in the spring.  He contacted us in March to finalize plans and get a deposit, then got the work done ASAP in mid-April.  They came when they said they would, with a crew of 3 and got the project done in 3 days.  I can't speak to long term quality, but am extremely pleased so far, and hopeful it holds up.   Since this is a front patio, we get many compliments from neighbors on the sidewalk, and have shared Josh's name several times.  Would recommend him highly!  Thanks again, Josh!

"communication wasn't great, and service is good"

"They came out the very next day to do the brick repair of the chimney in my basement, and the work was excellent. Had to come back a few days later with a different crew to climb my steep roof for the chimney B-vent, but that too went great. Very pleased."

"It went very well. Tony was very helpful with other ideas to replace the mulch. The landscaping job turned out excellent! We are very happy with the results and would recommend this company."

"Tom and his crew repaired our crumbling brick chimney and cap. They were professional, quick, and the work looked great at the end. They did have an issue with the cap partially washing out prior to setting due to a surprise torrential downpour, but they returned the next day and fixed the issue. I would hire them again."

"I had a raised patio in mind and Outdoor Concepts grabbed hold of the idea and improved it to deal with above ground roots of the trees in the back yard.  Rather than dig down and disturb the roots, they brought in fill and then put beautiful stone about 6 inches raised from the ground.  In addition, I wanted a slightly amorphous shape working with a pergola and the trees.  They totally got it and lined the "floor" with contrasting border stones.  It is absolutely stunning!  I get so many compliments on it.

Also, there is a raised garden bed separate from the patio so that I can grow herbs outside the kitchen door.  They also threw in a rock border around my air-conditioning unit and hose area.  It is quite beautiful in all."

"I wanred brick specislists for an undesirable brick job. John was the first estimator who seemed to know all the details of the project by sight. When his two craftsman showed up, I knew I did good. In terms of integrity, courtesy, skill, craftmanship, and attention to detail, they exhibited OLD-SCHOOL values that just aren't around much anymore. I didn't find one tiny item to pick up after they cleaned. I was glad I met them, and even tipped the two people repairing the brick. It looks great at a fair price."

"Workers were very careful not the disturb cable wiring, sprinkler system. Very happy with VERY safe steps providing SAFE access to Commons area. Down a hill. Very satisfied."
