He also added a barn door shower in both bathrooms., he put in shower seats and grab bars in both bathrooms. He even came back to fix some issues we were having. He is considerate, understanding and really easy to talk to. I highly recommend this company."

"I hired Founder's Renovation to replace a bathtub, repair the surrounding walls, and tile the shower, and I’m very happy with how everything turned out. Thomas was easy to work with, explained what needed to be done in plain terms, and didn’t try to upsell or overcomplicate anything. The tub install was clean, the wall repairs blended in nicely, and the tile work looks great. He showed up when he said he would and kept the area tidy, which I really appreciated. EDIT: FWIW The above review was written while the person giving the estimate was standing there asking me to give her a review. She was nice, but obviously a seasoned salesperson. She did attempt to hard-sell me a few times, and even pulled the "call my manager and get another 10% off" routine mentioned by others here... but again, I wasn't having any of it. Bottom line is that their lowest possible option came to an amount in excess of the "HIGH END" average here (for my area) by nearly two grand... and that was their lowest cost option. Let me be honest here... I live in a CB Homes tract house worth $165K on a good day... I was looking for a bath to shower conversion for mom who's been living with me and having troubles getting in the shower. I can't cough up money I would expect to pay for a full remodel of the bathroom (their high end and original estimate). And unfortunately I can't cough up nearly five digits for shower with glass door ... on the low end. I need a functional shower that looks as good as the original stock CB Homes tub... the bar isn't set too high. These folks are obviously for the higher end custom home. That's fine. I just wish the person on the phone when I called to make the appointment and TOLD HER my situation at least had the information to relay that the lowest my job was going to cost with glass door would be what it was. But whatever. I just felt I needed to correct the record here... especially after reading some of the other reviews. To summarize: The lady who appeared for the appointment was personable... she seemed to know what she w as doing... she also was obviously a sales professional and did employ some tactics to make the sale (not entirely unexpected of course)... and perhaps, if she had the flexibility to sell a lower end "non-custom" type product, we may have bought (but not right then regardless... these folks were the first people to come out and give and estimate and I NEVER buy anything based on a single estimate.)... but their lowest cost product was easily 2x the cost I was expecting going in (albeit admittedly a thoroughly informed expectation) ... I have another estimate that will be done Wednesday. I already spoke to the owner on the phone so as to not waste his time. I relayed some of this information to him in hopes to determine if he has any possible chance of meeting or exceeding the expectations I've developed (partly based on the averages available here on this site) and if it would be a waste of time for him to come by... the appointment is still set."

"There was considerable mold in the corner of the shower that was not caused by something like a leaky showerhead, so it required professional attention. Shon arrived on time to inspect the problem and then explained exactly what would be done, all according to code. Once I had submitted his proposal to my insurance carrier and was approved, the work was scheduled to be done within a week. First, plastic sheets were hanged in the room to contain the mold spores should they became airborne, then the shower pan and the tiles up to 6' were removed, the mold was remediated, and the shower was rebuilt. It was quite a job so took several days to complete. My tenant is happy, so I am happy. BTW, the insurance company, on further review of my policy, determined that I had no coverage at all for this incident, but Shon was kind enough to give me an Angie's List discount and a little something extra for posting this review. Thank you, Shon."

"Not well. The resource sent had already been drinking and the start time was 9 am! They said that they could not install the hinge and that they would need to get a different kind of hinge. I would need to contact (John - the owner) to follow up for another time. Not all light bulbs were changed - the one on the porch was not replaced. Would not/did not perform tile request recommended replacing last 3 rows of tile - estimating 5 hours of work at $75 per hour or to redo the whole shower estimated 70 sq ft of tile at $75 per hour - an outrageous request. Again he said to follow up with John. The shower is not any where near 70 sq ft and 3 rows of tile to be replaced was not the recommendation of any estimates I received previously. I DID follow up with John and he indicated he would schedule a follow up for a good estimate - it has been 2 weeks and no response. Not recommending them."
