Darren was friendly and helpful throughout the process, and eager to brainstorm to give us what we needed. It was a relatively small job, but Darren worked carefully and conscientiously, and he explained everything thoroughly to my father. We love the new rails and would hire him again in a second."

"Kurt was great. He communicated on a daily basis and kept and clean workspace. I appreciated his flexibility and honesty as well. I initially though we needed to replace a sliding glass door, but Kurt was honest and advised that he could repair instead of replace saving me a great deal of money. Also, In the middle of completing a list of necessary repairs I received a letter from the insurance company advising of an additional item in need of attention. "I cannot speak highly enough of Tom and Brad Green of Colonial Restorations. We have lived in our antique house for 16 years now, and like most old homes, some of its previous repairs were good, some not so good. Tom Green worked on this house for its previous owners, and his work was, by far, the best in the house. So, we continued to use Colonial - Tom, then Tom and Brad - as we learned the ropes about caring for an old house - our first house, old or new. Over the years, they have replaced sills and posts and beams, and rebuilt parts of our loose stone foundation. Most recently, they replaced the last original posts in our basement, (one of which was a tree trunk still with bark on it), including pouring new custom footings, in advance of our finally cementing the dirt floor. The work here is never easy - nothing is level, nothing is square - but the Greens' end result has always been beautiful - strong and made to last. Their prices are fair and without hidden costs....maybe not the lowest bid you might get, but you know it's a real bid that they will stand behind. They triage projects for us, giving us an idea of what other items will likely need attention in the next few years. We're not done with this house yet....we've never won the lottery, and there's always another repair..... and plan to use them again soon. I feel confident knowing that the next owners of this house, whoever they might be, will see the quality of the work and know that we cared enough to have the right people help us with the ongoing repair and maintenance of a 275+ year old house. I am a real person, a real customer, with no ties to the company, and was more than happy to write this review."

Historical home required rotten wood replacement ? numerous locations around the house require replacement or repair of external wood siding, trim work - excellent workmanship very happy with work performed.

External Paint  sanding (prep) ? wet sanding of the home went quickly and very clean  - superb workmanship very happy with work

External Paint tape (prep)- this is where the project was very slow and time seem to take forever to complete ? 2 weeks of taping .

External Paint ? primer coat - excellent workmanship very happy 1 day

External Paint ? base color 2 coats - excellent workmanship took too long to complete-  8 days

 External Paint ? trim color - excellent workmanship took too long to complete- 5 days

If you are not looking to get house done quickly 1-2 weeks then these are the guys for you excellent work but slow

"We have know and trusted SANTOS, and his team, for decades. He is a superb carpenter and knowledgeable in all areas of home building and repair. He comes up with solutions for any job, small or larger, inside or outside the home, that needs repair. He has helped my husband and I install stone columns in front of his place of business. He diligently found the leaking in our home’s roof and walls and expertly rebuilt the entire side of the kitchen and walls. I think I have a photo. There are too many jobs to list. (April 2019) My Mom has now hired SANTOS and his team to repair, sand, prime and paint her entire house and she is so happy I recommended him and now her neighbor has him booked! He’s busy but worth the wait if you can hire him."
