"I had a garage fire in September. I called Elite and they got us back in our home in less than 7 months. The result was amazing. The professionalism in the work really blew me away. they worked seamlessly with the Insurance company. a few days ago Twin falls had severe weather and I lost some siding from my house. I called Jason at Elite. He contacted Jeremiah. Jeremiah showed up for the repair and. the work was completed with in a few minutes. I can't thanks all the crew AT Elite for their loyalty to a customer. Especially to Jason and Jeremiah. Thank You again. Kim and Bonnie Tillery"

"<p>My basement was an absolute disaster! I called Sweet's & they responded right away staying till around 2:30 am to make sure everything had been cleaned up & disinfected. After about a week of running fans to dry everything out, they did the restoration work in my basement which took about a week or so to complete. They told me that I could go to Lowe's & pick out new fixtures, doors, etc. The restoration work turned out nice, although the quality of the materials used were less expensive than the original building materials. (My house was built in the 1960s, so it had natural pine doors & wood moldings that were replaced with MDF.)</p> <p>Then, I got the bill! Yes, it was costly but Richard at Sweet's negotiated with the insurance adjuster and after 9 months my insurance company finally paid.</p> <p>What I most impressed with was Sweet's immediate response to an "after hours" emergency and their patience in getting paid.<br /> <br /></p> <br />"

"We were in need of tree trimming services for our trees that had been neglected for the last 20 years. I received a call back the day after I left a message and was told it would be several days before Brett could call me as they were very busy. Brett called me a little over a week later and met me at my house. He was very helpful in determining what was needed for the health and look of our trees. Due to their busy fall schedule, he originally thought they could not do the job for another 6 weeks, but he was able to get his crew to our house that day. They did a wonderful job and their cleanup was exceptional. I would recommend their services to anyone who needs trees trimmed or removed. Brett was very friendly and very professional. <br />"

"<p>My water heater rusted out and they came right away. The insurance company had another company do the tear out and drying out. As soon as everything was dried out Bronson came in and installed the water heater so I'd have hot water. They built a platform for my washer and dryer, reinstalled my water softener, washer and dryer, laid the flooring in the kitchen and replace all the appliances. They saved me enough money that I was able to have them tear out the living room carpet and have them put the laminate flooring there also. They were considerate and understanding at all times.</p> <p>I would highly recommend them and have to my friends as they have done work for me before.</p> <p><br /></p> <br />"

FAQs for basement remodeling projects in Rogerson, ID

Finishing a basement turns unused square footage into livable space and returns up to 70% of what you spend when you sell your home. Beyond that resale boost, you gain a playroom, home office, or guest suite you can start enjoying right away. That mix of daily comfort and solid return on investment (ROI) makes basement finishing one of the smartest upgrades you can tackle.

In some parts of the country—especially lots on swamps, high water tables, or other wetlands—local codes prohibit basements. Saturated soil puts constant pressure on foundation walls and lets water seep in faster than any sump pump can handle.

If your property sits on waterlogged ground, building on a slab or crawl space is often safer, more affordable, and code-compliant.

Most basements wrap up in four to eight weeks. Framing takes three to five days, with electrical and plumbing rough-ins following over the next week. Add five days for drywall, two to three for flooring, and another week for paint, trim, and punch-list items.

Delays can happen if materials run late or your contractor’s calendar is packed, so build in a little cushion when you plan.

Whether a finished basement counts toward your home’s official square footage depends on local rules. Many areas only include below-grade space if it has code-approved egress, fully finished walls, ceilings, and floors, plus consistent heating.

Check with your local assessor or building department before you start; meeting those standards can affect taxes, appraisals, and resale value.

Building codes require a checklist: dedicated heat and electrical service, a code-approved stairway, and at least one egress window or exterior door. Walls, ceilings, and floors must be fully finished and meet insulation, ventilation, and fire-separation standards. If you add a bedroom, you’ll also need a closet, proper clearances, and safe exits. If you change the layout later, be ready to update the space so every new room still meets today’s code.
