"Excellent as usual. The team arrived on time, completed a thorough inspection, told me what needed to be done, and answered my questions. There was enough film on the chimney interior that it needed to be cleaned so they brought in the big vac and took care of that. There was a small crack in the concrete base of the fireplace which was repaired with a special compound. The two men were professional, courteous, knew what they were doing, completed the job efficiently, took good care not to get anything dirty, and gave good advice on ongoing operation of the fireplace. <br /> Fire Safe Chimney Sweep has come out each year for several years now for routine inspection, maintenance and repairs now and then and the service has remained consistently excellent. <br />"

"From the time if the initial estimate to the installation, everything went smoothly. I decided to change to a metal roof because I was renovating the room that has a low slope rubber roof and have had several leaks. I was not about to add insulation and a new ceiling and have to deal with a potential for leaks. Thus, I felt a metal roof would be the best option. Because I only have 2 X6 with no attic I decided to add foam board insulation to the roof deck and Dave gave me a fair price. I'm glad I added the foam board to deck and it gives me extra pitch too. Dave upgraded the ice and snow membrane at no extra charge. The workers were great and they stayed late to ensure that the roof was sealed before they left because there was a chance of showers. Additionally, they sealed all of my roof penetrations on the rest of my house and fixed some shingles had a previous leak without me asking at no charge! Wow what service. <br />"

"LeavesOut referred us to Drain Designs to help fix our extensive outdoor drain pipe issue. We had corrugated pipe and it was not functioning, which became abundantly clear after a huge storm. Drain Designs came over and gave a very thorough and professional assessment of our situation. They were able to get us on the schedule right after the new gutters were installed which ended up working out perfect. We had a few small issues after installation and Drain Designs fixed the problems without hesitation. Very pleased with the followup and would highly recommend their services."

"Roger Roten at '58 Foundations saved me $12,000 dollars. I had already had another company out who recommended foundation repair and quoted me about 12k for the work. I called '58 Foundations who sent out Roger to give a competing quote for the job. To my surprise Roger reached a very different conclusion than the first company. He presented compelling evidence based on his observations and experience that we didn't need foundation repair at all, and at most needed $500 of masonry work. Roger recommended that I hire my own structural engineer to verify everything, and so I did. The engineer came out and found that there were no repairs needed. The small bit of cracking we saw that started this whole process is explained by expanding and contracting clay soil + 53 years of time."

"The estimators that came out reviewed the roof and found a couple spots where they said the shingles needed replacing and where the two had blown off in the wind. Both of the men who came out were afraid of heights. One was afraid to climb the ladder, the other climbed the ladder and was afraid to come back down. He jumped from the upper roof to our sunroom roof. I was truly shocked. I do not believe that is a safe practice at all. As he hit the sunroom roof his momentum almost carried him off that roof. When I questioned him about it, he said he could see where the support was for the roof and he jumped on that. He could have been severely injured and he could have severely damaged the sunroom roof. The actual installers who came out were up and down within 20 minutes and showed me pictures of what they did. The were late, but the job was finished as promised by the date they said it would be. There is a standard fee to just get them to come out to replace the shingles ($595 - I had a coupon to get it to $495). One hundred dollars a shingle. I need to change my career."

"We hired DH Construction about 2.5 years ago to reside the entire house, new roof, trim work etc. Since that time we have had DH Construction out a couple of times to address minor issues. One that was created by HVAC service and Brian's guys came out replaced the siding and a couple small pieces of trim at no cost to us! <br /> The latest was to repair some water damage above the garage door created by a piece of flashing not positioned correctly. I contacted Brian and emailed a few pictures showing the issue. We scheduled a date and time that Brian and his team would meet with us. After seeing the issue and the cause his team went to work resolving the problem at no cost to us. The problem is now <br /> resolved and looks like it did when the job was completed 2.5 ago. <br /> The service we have received from DH Construction has been excellent from day one and still now 2.5 years later. This type of service confirms our first impression of Brian that he is an honorable and trust worthy man that I highly recommend. <br /> <br />"

"It was a $99 charge to come out and look and offer a solution but I was okay with that. The bat wasn't present when the assessor arrived. The assessor offered a solution that I felt was overpriced. He pointed out some other areas that seemed to be at risk for a future bat infestation and solutions for those areas that could be implemented. He indicated that addressing the areas he identified would prevent future bat problems. After he left, I noticed several additional areas which seemed met the "at risk" criteria which were overlooked on his assessment. Thus the estimate provided would have been even higher. I had to ask for pictures of the items he suggested I have installed. The bird guards didn't look like what I thought were described. I decided to forego covering all my bases and address the immediate (single) bat issue myself with a water bottle to shoo out the bat and some screen to apply over the outside of the louvers once I was sure he was gone. I'll probably try another company for future bat issues. I didn't like that the assessor arrived almost an hour before his appointment time while I was still at work. Then he called me to ask when I'd be there. It was disruptive and I didn't appreciate that he couldn't arrive at the appointment time, that he called me to ask when I could be there, and that he didn't give me more notice if he needed to arrive early."
