"Selection of materials and installation went well. The only thing they missed was they covered up a trap entry on the floor (slab). I have alternate trap access, so it wasn't too big of a deal. I am confident that if I had asked them to fix it, they would have."

"Our purple carpet had about 100 urine stains from previous dogs and our own. The specialist, Robert, matched to color and treated every spot. If we didn't know where they were, we'd never know they spots had been there. Perfect job!"

"20-OCT-2014
Overall we are very pleased with the work.
I will add a more detailed review in the summer after our new roof has had a chance to go through the winter and spring weather.

13-APR-2015
Spring update.
Well, we survived the winter with no leaks in our roof. I would still recommend Pearl Contractors for any roofing work that you may need.

Spring 2015.
Contacted Pearl to inform them that the flashing around my chimney is leaking.

August 2015
After some discussion with Troy, the owner and Chris his assistant manager we have decided that the flashing around the chimney should have been replaced at the time of the original installation. because it was not, Pearl Contractor's has replaced the flashing as a warranty repair. Pearls states this chimney flashing is a $750 value. I am happy to have a roof that no longer leaks."

"We live in Mass but are selling a house in Maine. A couple days before the closing the buyer insisted we have 3 barrels removed from the barn since he was concerned they may contain hazardous materials. Being about 3 hours away we were desperate to find someone quick that could take care of this for us.
We found Marshall Enterprises on Angie's List and called to see if they could helps us out quickly. We spoke with Jamie and explained the situation and he said he would head right over to the house to check it out. A couple of hours later he called to say that he would take the barrels and that one of them had hydraulic fluid in it (worth about $50) that he could use. He said he would take all the barrels in exchange for the hydraulic fluid. A short time later he texted a picture of the barrels loaded in his truck.
What a life saver! I would highly recommend Jamie and Marshall Enterprises as a reputable, honest, and prompt business!"

FAQs for carpet installation projects in Roxbury, ME

Carpet rolls come in standard widths of 12 and 15 feet. Less commonly, you might find a roll 13.5 feet wide. There are no standard roll lengths, but they’ll have enough to cover almost any home.

You’ll need equal amounts of carpet padding and carpet. Carpet padding costs $200 to $500 for the average room. However, the padding is trimmed a couple of inches away from the wall on all sides to make room for tack strips. Most residential installs have padding, and professionals include this in their bids.

Often, the best carpet for basements doesn’t include a pad. You’ll find this mainly in humid areas or places with a high-water table.

One linear foot of carpet or other material is simply one foot measured in a straight line. You typically aren’t going to measure carpet this way. It’s quoted in square feet or square yards.

There are nine square feet in one square yard of carpet.

The amount of carpet you need to cover two rooms varies depending on the room size and configuration. Measure the floor space. Multiply width times length. Do this for both rooms and add the numbers together.

You’ll need between 80 and 110 square feet for 13 stairs. For unique stairwells, you might need more.

Measure indoor/outdoor carpet like you would any other area, taking the width times the length. For patios, make sure to add a couple extra inches to wrap around the edges. Indoor-outdoor carpets cost an average of $3.50 per square foot.

You’ll need enough carpet to cover the entire area of damage to avoid seams. For example, if you have a 4-inch tear in the middle of a hallway, you’ll want enough carpet to stretch from door to door or the next available seam. Depending on the type of carpet you have, you might be able to get a professional to do an invisible seam repair.

One square foot of carpet is one foot long by one foot wide.
