"it took these guys less than 4 hours to rip off 2 layers, replace a bunch of plywood and cut in a ridge vent along with adding some other vents across the back and slap on the new shingles. "It went great, it was a messy job because it involved removing the old, nasty insulation, but the guys did their best containing the mess. The attic is very difficult to work in due to the low ceiling and they did a great job, no cracks in the ceiling or anything. I also ended up with a "super deck" which is a platform with foam underneath giving me some more storage space that I desperately needed. I can see now that my neighbors house has icicles (which can signal an impending ice dam), and I have none. I gave a B for price because this is an expensive job, I don't believe you can get it for significantly cheaper, but the quality of the job, comfort, and properly functioning attic space are definitely worth it."
