"Mike has worked on three homes for me. (There wasn't a category for "additions" but that's what he has done). He has done projects for me for over 20 years and is creative, hardworking and has fabulous results. He built a basement and bedroom wing on a chalet and on our cottage he has done bedroom and TV room additions and a huge new screened in porch. They are all perfect! He is fair in his pricing and innovative in his approach in preserving the charm of a very old cottage. He is open to suggestions and easy to work with. He is willing to take on both large and small jobs. and go the extra mile. I give him the highest recommendation."

"Nolan showed up for a free quote. He showed up on time for the actual installation. He worked an entire weekend to get it done before the rain on Monday. He held to his quote and did a great job. I live in another state and it was important to me that he set up a time for the installation so I could be there to see the work. Several other contractors walked away from this project but Nolan was fine with it even though it was small and not very close to him geographically."

No, cedar is not pressure-treated because it contains oils and tannins that naturally resist insect damage, rot, and decay. With regular maintenance, including annual cleaning and resealing every two to three years, cedar maintains its structural integrity and pleasing appearance for 10 to 15 years or more. Cedar’s natural durability, without need for chemical treatments, makes it an environmentally friendly option for outdoor structures like decks.

You should stain or seal your cedar deck every two to three years to maintain its appearance and longevity. This helps protect the wood from moisture, mold, and environmental damage, preserving its natural color and extending its lifespan.
