"Very smoothly. On time. Was a good price and people were easy to deal with. They cleaned up after they were done. Would definitely hire them again. Good job all around."

"Hi Cliff, Thanks for your phone call follow up! Yes, we are very happy with our insulation project. Everyone was very friendly and hard working. At the start of each day, they explained what they were going to do, which helped us better understand the process/progress. Not being up in the attic during the process, it is hard to evaluate work quality. However, based on their work ethic, viewing from the attic entrance, and your reviews on Angie's List, I am confident they did an excellent job. Brian was very helpful. I explain some special situations like a bathroom vent that could provide rodent access. I expected to have to remind Brian at the end of the project, but to my pleasant surprise, there was no need. He solved the problem to our satisfaction. Brian mentioned that he was going to take pictures of some of the completed stages of the project for us to see. Thanks again to you and your professional team. Gary and Debbie"

"Excellent!  Beyond expectations. <br /> This is the second time I have used 'JDM CONSTRUCTION' and I continue to be pleasantly surprised at just how much effort, care and sincere concern JDM is able to extend to its customers. <br /> It's a no-frills, authentic and no-nonsense approach.  No games.  No sales pitches.    A very honest approach to doing business with a handshake and thanks.  THAT'S VERY RARE in todays world of upsell and manipulated pricing. <br /> JDM utilizes mostly a Whole House Fan, Radiant Barrier and Attic Fan install business.  I wish they did more but it's also import to appreciate that being excellent at a few things is far better than specializing in everything. <br /> You'll be please.  Promise! <br /> <br /> <br />"

"We were very impressed with the thorough investigation of the house, attic and crawl space as well as a shed. Areas of termite infestation were located as well as a rat problem (we thought we had taken care of that a while ago, but they were back.) Communication was good. There was a team that took care of the rats and another that dealt with the termites."

FAQs for spray foam insulation projects in Sacramento, CA

Local and federal rebates are available for insulation installation, which can significantly reduce your overall costs. Many utility companies offer incentives or rebates to homeowners who improve their home's energy efficiency. Contact your local energy provider or government agencies to learn about available programs in your area, and consult with a professional insulation installer to maximize your savings.

It's not necessary to remove old insulation before adding new insulation, as long as the existing insulation is in good condition—dry, free of mold, and not damaged. Adding new insulation on top of old insulation can improve your home's energy efficiency by increasing the overall R-value. However, if the old insulation is wet, moldy, or damaged, it's best to remove it before installing new insulation to prevent potential health risks and ensure optimal performance.

Insulating a house takes between five and twelve hours for batts or boards, and two to five hours for spray foam or blown-in insulation. The exact time depends on the size of your home, the type of insulation, and the accessibility of the areas being insulated. Keep in mind that projects may take longer if old insulation needs removal, if there's a larger square footage, or if spaces are difficult to reach.
