"With more time spent working from home, we wanted to close off our den/media room so it could function as an office during the day. Our house was build in 1933 and we wanted the doors to look they had always been a part of the house. The opening was large so required two doors as well as moving electrical boxes. We have used Dana King a couple of years ago for a renovation project. With projects, the creativity of the design along with the high quality workmanship was outstanding. "Bruce and his crew finished over 1000 sqft of basement for my family, including a wet bar, 3/4 bath, game room and family room. I cannot say enough about how great it was to work with them. From the minute Bruce walked in our house to give us an estimate, we knew he would be the one for the job. He had a great personality, understood what we wanted to do and was up front about cost, timing, any limitations, etc-- we could just tell that it would be easy to work with him. Bruce's son, David, did most of the woodwork. He did a fantastic job of duplicating the staircase from our main floor (we happened to also have leftover spindles). He also created a custom built-in bookcase as well as worked with standard cabinetry to make custom-looking bookshelves in our bar. We really trusted that if he said he could do something, he could-- and he did! What we really appreciated was the work ethic-- when they said they were going to be here, they were here. They were always here around 8/8:30 and put in a full day's work, unlike other contractors we've dealt with in the past. The sub contractors that Bruce works with (HVAC, flooring, plumbing, etc) were all punctual and responsible and were also here when they were supposed to be. Because of this, when quoted 3 month from start to finish, they were spot on! They started our basement at the end of April, and were finished mid-July. The project was not without its set-backs or errs, but whenever we brought something to Bruce's attention, it was remedied promptly and without question. All in all, for major construction, this was the most pleasant project we've ever had completed and would recommend Norse in a heartbeat."

They are a busy team of workers who kept us appraised of their availability for the various stages of our restoration. For the repairs that they didn't do themselves they had excellent recommendations for the professionals we needed such as the carpet installation, closet system installation, kitchen cabinets and the refinishing of our hardwood floors. They seem to be in demand, working at several projects at the same time but we always felt that we were their top priority. Jacob worked with our homeowners insurance adjuster to be sure that the funds allocated for our losses were enough to complete our projects. Our basement was completely unfinished - they worked with us to design the entire space. We added a living space, wet bar, bedroom, play area, 2 bathrooms (one full bath and a half bath) and laundry area! Every member of the team is extremely professional and courteous and so enjoyable to work with - even our kids loved having them around and talking to them every morning before they left for school! They made sure we were happy and satisfied with each part of the basement. They pay attention to every little detail! We added on some small projects upstairs as well, and they were very accommodating to any additional renovations we wanted to do or any changes we requested to things they were already working on in the basement. "Tom and team did a basement remodel for me about 13 years ago, including adding a bathroom. Subsequent projects were window replacement for the entire house, and new roof/front porch. We received numerous compliments about the roof and front porch as it improved the entire look of the house from the street. He also replaced my concrete driveway to make it double wide. The most recent job was updating the columns wrapped around the porch. They were wrapped in aluminum which looked great but seemed like squirrels like to chew on them. Went with a different material this time around."

I started with an interior paint job, then hired them to refinish the hardwood floors because of the great job they did on the walls. The upstairs looked so good when they were finished that I had him bid on the construction in the basement, and I had them complete that project as well. Again, they brought it home exactly as designed and faster than anticipated. They do high quality work and are very easy to work with."
