"Joe was great to work with. He is friendly and laidback which took the stress off of the project. His crew did a great job painting the exterior of our home, staining the front of our property, and detailing the trim work. The total cost people included some carpentry work that one of his subcontractors assisted with, replacing boards on our home and deck. Overall, great experience!"

"If your stucco home was built around 1990, and fails a stucco inspection with several points of high moisture readings, you fear the repair work can easily cost $60 K and much more because the damage is likely hidden. I had several contractors look at the job and nobody could/would handle the job to take care of the window, repair frame work and re-stucco and match existing stucco. Matt Roach of Barrier Construction quoted the project with the promise that his staff would do all the work and only need to deal with one company and satisfy the inspection findings. From the first day Barrier's crew started the job, my wife and I knew right then we had hired the best company. The crew was so professional in every way, soon felt almost almost like family, and were truly craftsmen in their job skills. Barrier turned what could have been a nightmare into a solution that was more than fair from a cost standpoint to an absolute gem of a finished project. "Dennis Nagel and his two man crew spent 3 days scraping the exterior of
the house. They did a complete and detailed job removing peeling paint
from the cedar shakes. I was impressed how hard they worked at scraping. They barely took any breaks. Tarps were placed under all areas scraped and the paint chips were disposed by the crew. They taped and covered windows and then applied the primer.                                                                                                                                                                                                                         
They were prepared to start painting the following day but the weather didn't
cooperate. They removed the plastic for the weekend and on Monday taped
and hung the plastic again.
Dennis and crew started painting in the
morning, but when it got hot in the afternoon they stopped so the paint
could dry naturally.
Overall they did an excellent job and was more
concerned about quality  than speed. It took a couple of days
longer than expected but that was due to additional time scraping and the
hot weather.

Even with the new fee it was more than reasonable. The final repair work looks great. I am really pleased. I think Jose addressed what could have been a very serious issue down the road.
