It was a while ago, but I remember that he rescheduled a couple of times, and then when he did come he was late and seemed irritated. He looked at the house and gave me an astronomical estimate to basically replace all the weatherboards. (I told him I knew they were in kindof rough shape, but I didn't need the whole house to be redone-- I just wanted to see if he could fix a couple of the bad ones.)  It felt like he was totally annoyed and condescending with me because my house wasn't perfect and because I live in a neighborhood that's a little rough. Seemed like he was not exactly used to being called out to an area like my 'hood.  We agreed that he could do some minimal work to at least get the value of the angie's list deal purchase. Weeks went by and nobody never called to follow up. 
Maybe he just had a bad day--everyone has one, and I understand that--but my experience was not a good one. 
I ended up calling Angie's list and they refunded my money for the deal.

"I hired them to put new roof on my rental property in uptown New Orleans and needed it completed within one month (by the end of July 2021). I was concerned it might not get done in time due to the non-relenting daily rainstorms, but we eventually caught a break from the rain and Wade got the job done in two day and came in on time and on budget. The roof looks great and the workmen did a very good job of cleaning up afterwards. I have also looked into having them replace all the old wiring in this old apartment duplex and the person they sent over to give me a quote seemed very knowledgeable on just how to get it done in just a few days and to consolidate electrical boxes and wire runs so that looks better after than it does now. "The representatives of this company were extremely professional, polite, and responsive. The estimate was done very quickly and was completely free. During the insulation work. which was started only a day or two after we came to an agreement on the price, the foreman, who had given us the estimate, stopped by to see how the job was going. The electrician, who came later the same day after the first crew had completed the insulation work, was extremely courteous and helpful. He fixed one issue in the house and diagnosed another (ceiling fan needs to be replaced), letting us know what types of ceiling fans would and would not work and other helpful hints. While there was one miscommunication, the problem was quickly addressed. We really appreciated the communication and courteousness of this company, and we will definitely call them again for various work and repairs around the house. It sounds like there is nothing they cannot / will not do! Highly recommended.

"Ron Bunton, the owner handled the job on a professional basis.  He tried to cover every detail necessary to complete the job. He frequently consulted with my wife and I over how we wanted certain tasks handled. It is important that the customer know what they want.  Don't expect Capstone to due design work although their suggestions can be very helpful. The job was challenging and sometimes I the customer wasn't prepared with some of the material that I needed to decided on and purchased. When dealing with Capstone, I think it is important to write down and adhere to a schedule of choosing and purchasing those materials that the customer is responsible for.  In our case all fixtures, tile, wood flooring, windows and some doors were to be customer provided. Lack of having them when needed can lead to delays. That being said there weren't very many delays in the doing of this job.

Overall Capstone did an excellent job and a year later we are very happy with the result"

"Benny and Acadian did a great job on two separate projects for us. First (early 2016), we had an old attached carport in our backyard that was no longer used as a carport. We wanted to convert it into a storage shed. He gave us a fair bid (we took 2 other bids, 1 was much higher than his and 1 was comparable). His workers were very considerate and professional when we met them. Benny was very responsive when I had questions. The project was fairly involved, because they needed to move some HVAC units out of the way, expand the size of the concrete foundation, frame the walls for the shed, wire the shed for electricity, replace the carport lighting fixture, install exterior lighting fixtures, and install and paint exterior siding to match the house. They did everything perfectly! Second (mid-2017), we hired them again a year later to replace the old railing on our front porch. We had a miscommunication with Bennie about what we wanted the replacement to look like. But Benny and his carpenter were very responsive when we realized that what his carpenter was constructing for was not what we wanted. They quickly changed course to build what we wanted and we really appreciated the quality work and professionalism. We are in the process of getting a bid from Acadian to do some more work for us!"

"I have used Adam Alan before for painting the exterior of my large home and was so satisfied I hired him for some interior work. Each of the rooms had either water marks or pealing paint due to moisture. Each problem area was carefully corrected followed by two coats of paint. His company arrives promptly, covers fixtures and floors, and cleans up. In the case of one bathroom the paint company mixed the wrong color of paint and Alan Adam worked with the paint company to correct their mistake and then repainted the bath for me. He is an expert on paints and paint colors and is a pleasure to work with as his lead painter, Chris."

"Representative from Specs Roofing showed up the day after he was scheduled and failed to call me on the originally agreed upon day to let me know that he was coming the next day.  Having said this, he did show up following a bad weather day (original day) and performed the services we had agreed upon over the phone.  The rep. was cordial and got right to work on the agreed upon tasks.  It took him a little over two hours to complete the work and he disposed of all leaves and debris in the wetlands below my home as agreed upon.  I'd say, overall this was a very good experience; above "good," but not quite at Excellent because of the failure to call me to let me know he was going to be delayed.  I would not hesitate to recommend Specs Roofing for any gutter or roof cleaning.

"I called them and they called back the next day. We made a time for them to come out. They inspected the chimney top and bottom and gave me estimates for a lot of different work that my chimney/fireplace needs. I can't afford to do it all at once and I'm not sure I will have it all done but he seems to know what he's talking about. Initially, he seemed a bit pushy on the bids but may have a very talkative style. He was more calm when he came back to do the work and said to call him when I was ready."
