"I have used Randy Lane Plumbing in the past and have generally been satisfied and do recommend them to others. This time, we had a problem in getting the necessary repair parts that went on for almost two months. Probably not Randy Lane's fault - blame the wholesaler and Delta Faucets. But I had to keep calling to check up on where the p[arts were and when they would be supplied so that the work could be completed. Randy Lane's office did not seem to be on top of that. After the parts were in, the repairs were done very well by "Al", the plumber sent out to do this job. He is quite capable and [professional. My only concern became how shockingly expensive it was to fix a few faucets. I have a lake home up north and a winter home in AZ am in a position to compare what plumbers charge there. Twin Cities plumbers are way more expensive - far more than the work seems to require, especially in the time of recession where so many plumbers are unemployed due to the collapse of the construction market."

They went above and beyond by coordinating the installation of several appliances at one time even though the company we purchased from said we couldn't do that. Michelle, the office manager, was wonderfully helpful in the coordination of everything, and their installers, Oakly and Jordan, did an amazing job of installing all the appliances and took the time to explain the operation to us. "My freezer went out in the middle of the week, and after calling a couple of other places, I was pleased to find that SOS could send someone out as early as the next day.  The repairman was prompt, professional, and concise.  I noticed that he took his shoes off at the door without me asking, which I (and my hard wood floors) appreciated.  It was about 30 minutes worth of work, which he completed in 30 minutes.  I also appreciated the $20 instant discount for being an Angie's list member.  
I intend to call them again with any appliance issues in the future.
That being said, I rated price a B, not because it was high, but just a really small thing I'd like to see improved for the future. Up front I committed to a diagnostic fee in the event I did not accept the service ( which makes perfect business sense and provides assurance that I'm a serious customer), but the repairman quoted me a price ( only verbally) that perhaps came from his computer or his experience, but I think I would have felt a bit of assurance myself to have seen a listing of prices next to services. Again, small thing, I'd still recommend SOS to anyone."

"Emailed company for an estimate to repair or replace some interior doors. Got a prompt reply and set up a time for the appointment. The owner assessed the job and told us that repair was all that was needed, not replacement. He also gave us some insight into a future job that we are considering and could consider the company for. The repairs were able to be scheduled within a week and the job was well done. Only snag was a little mix up in the time that the job was to start, but this was very minor. Overall we are very happy with the experience. We very much appreciate the experience level of the people we dealt with (Jim and Tom).

"I called Burkhardt and talked directly to Chris. The work I wanted done was:
Replace Main Line valve into house
Remove and install garbage disposal
Fix two leaky faucets with bleeder valves. One required replacement
Fix continuous running toilet
Chris and his associate completed all the work in about 2 hours. This included heading out for additional parts due to the unusual nature of my mainline valve implementation. All in all I have no complaints with any part of the service and I'd use them again. I did not ask for an estimate ahead or time or get any other estimates, but the price felt fair to me based on past work I have had done.
