"Brock came to my house and inspected the areas for painting and repair & I could tell immediately that he had a lot of knowledge and experience with drywall repair and painting. He gave me the estimate within 20 min. of his visit. He was professional and easy to work with, asking questions about the work. Due to a death in his immediate family the following week, the work had to be postponed for a week. Brock stayed in touch with me during this time. He came with his crew of 3 painters, and even though 2 of the guys did not speak much English, it was easy to communicate with 1 of them. They knew what they were doing and began work immediately upon arriving, covering my furniture and walls thoroughly to avoid damage. The work took 2 days, but would have taken 1 day, due to my indecision on paint color. Brock met me at the paint store to look at paint and worked with me to make a decision (I was impressed with his knowledge about paint colors and tints). Brock came by numerous times to check on the crew and with me to make sure everything was being done to my satisfaction. When the work was completed, the crew cleaned up thoroughly. I will call Intouch for any future home improvements I may need & highly recommend them. Brock is all about customer satisfaction, and that is very hard to find these days.

"It went fantastically well, It did not take him long to find the problem and then solve it. He came in and look under the sink. Went under the house found the pipe shook it and said here is the problem. Hr removed a section of the pipe and found the stoppage removed it , repaired pipe and sink workes like new. "The quote from Total Maintenance was extremely competitive and the lowest of 6 quotes that we received. The individual who provided the quote was extremely informative regarding the equipment proposed. While at the house, he noted issues with some existing air registers (installed improperly) and he adjusted some ceiling fan blades which were turned the wrong direction. He seemed very knowledgeable and competent. He did make some assumptions and comments implying that I, as a female, might not be interested in the technical details of the proposed equipment. He was extremely apologetic when he realized at the end of the meeting that my degree was in chemical engineering.
After deciding to give the work to Total Maintenance, they were very quick to schedule the installation. They arrived on time for the job with a large crew. The crew was very organized and professional. They took care in laying down cardboard and materials to prevent damage to the hardwood floors. They also removed some pictures from the wall to prevent them from being broken or damaged. They completed the work quickly within a little over a half day. The only problem was that one of the crew accidentally stepped through the kitchen ceiling towards the end of the job. Luckily, he wasn't hurt. They quickly cleaned up the mess from the accident and put a temporary cardboard cover over the large hole. They contacted their supervision and made their supervision aware of the damage. They were quick to assure me that they would have the sheetrock guy come within the next day or two to fix the hole. They demonstrated how to operate the unit and left me with the operating manuals. They also honored a discount coupon for $250 that I had located on Angie's list. Overall, with the exception of the ceiling damage, the work was performed satisfactorily. The new duct work arrangement wasn't quite what I had envisioned it would look like, but it seems to be working okay. I paid them the full amount owed for the job at time of completion.
Several days later, after I had not heard from anyone regarding the ceiling repair, I called them. I was told that they had given the information to their sheetrock guy and that he would be following up with me. The lady I spoke with fairly curtly indicated that I didn't need to call Total Maintenance as the work was now turned over to the sheetrock person. The sheetrock guy called the next week and came to repair the ceiling. He also did a good job. He was very careful to protect the surrounding area from damage and did a good job at matching the existing finish. Given the size of the hole, the repair job was really quite good.
After a week or so went by, I called Total Maintenance again to see if they would be sending a painter to paint the ceiling following the repair. The lady I spoke with told me she would need to check with the owner and would get back with me. I did not hear back from this call.
After another week went by, I received a voicemail from Total Maintenance asking if I would like them to do an internal inspection of the recently completed work. I was out of town when they called and returned the call the following week. I asked what the purpose of the internal inspection was. They indicated that it was to ensure the work was completed satisfactorily. I said that I would like to have the inspection done and asked again whether or not they would be addressing the painting of the ceiling. I was informed by the lady I spoke with that she would follow-up.
The inspector showed up early for the internal inspection. He was very professional and courteous. While he was at the house, I asked him about the painting repair. He was not aware of any issue, but indicated he would follow-up. That was yesterday, June 25; installation was completed May 8 I haven't heard any further follow-up.
So, my overall summary is this: Their prices are competitive. They were professional and did a good job with the scope of work. However, their follow-up on the repair of the damaged ceiling has not been as professional and has been somewhat disappointing."

"They were able to come to give an estimate an hour after I called, and showed up on time.. Underneath the house was difficult to access, but they went under. The receptionist had told me that there would be a $50 diagnostic charge that would be applied to the cost of repair if the repair was done. One of the gentlemen said the diagnostic cost would be $75 because they had to go under the house, but when I told them what the receptionist said they only charged $50. They agreed to come at 8:00 the next business day, and showed up on time. They replaced the pipe, cleared a drain for the washer, connected the washer, and cleared a slow draining sink. They agreed to come to another location to get the check when I couldn't meet them at the property, and sent a receipt via email with a written 2 year warranty on the work. They did not want to honor the 5% discount from Angie's list, since they were already paying Angie's List for the referral, but I didn't argue because I did not present them with the coupon when they did the estimate, as was indicated. In general, I was pleased with the work and happy to get the warranty. I later discovered that the father of two of the workmen had been my mother's plumber many years ago! They have a long history in the city, which is reassuring."

"Well, the first time the replacement was ordered it was the wrong one, which of course, delayed the installation a week. When it was finally installed I had to pay an additional $850 for code upgrades. This I was not informed of by Home Shield. Then we noticed that there was water on the garage floor and found that the pipe coming in from the wall was leaking at the wall so had to call the plumbing company back out to fix it. They first tried to say it was not their fault but since there wasn't a leak before they installed they did fix it. I have used Home Shield a few times before and never had a problem. Some of the companies they use are not the best so you have to research them before you commit. I have found HS service to be good if you do your homework. At the end of the day I was without hot water for almost 3 weeks but it was do to the plumbing company they sent out."
