"Shawn provided lots of information during the visit for an estimate. The day of work they arrived on time and were diligent about accomplishing adding insulation to my attic. Their clean up was thorough. They were courteous and pleasant."

Customers say: Quick response

"This was work on the front porch of my 113 year-old house--raising and bracing some sagging. Ben, the guy who did the work, was wonderful! Courteous, polite, hard working, efficient and eager to please. He mentioned that he got a lot of his training from working with the Amish. Impressive! I feel confident that the work was done right!"

"The company was efficient and communicated well. I had several opportunities to check every area they worked on over and didn’t find anything they missed or skimped on. I went with their wet blown cellulose for my interior walls. It dried quickly and remained in place for a few weeks until my drywall went up. "

"Friendly, professional, and not a single attempt to upsell us. Had an almost fully uninsulated attic, and they did a perfect job! Called when they were on their way, explained the process very well before they started, and in a couple hours went from needing to sleep with 4 blankets to being toasty with one! They even concentrated extra padding right over the bedrooms. Can't reccomend these guys enough"

"Not at all satisfied with the service rendered. The gentleman I spoke to on phone seemed very responsible, but the guy that came out appeared to be a different person. Gentleman came with a blower. Now, I had a gutter monster on my gutters. He was done in a little least than fifteen minutes. Told me that my gutters really weren't dirty. I asked about the downspouts and was told anything that was in there came out. "this is a powerful blower". Left debris in my yard. Very disappointed with service. Angies list was running a special and I paid through them."

"I have had a home warranty plan with ABMay for several years and always get great service. Today Joshua White did my annual plumbing inspection and when I mentioned I'd be getting new toilets soon he let me know of the wonderful credit I had and the next thing I knew...he installed my 2 new toilets in record time today at a great price. He was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and answered all my questions( tolerated my puppy)as well as gave me information. Once again I'm very satisfied with this company and their technicians."

FAQs for spray foam insulation projects in Saint Joseph, MO

Local and federal rebates are available for insulation installation, which can significantly reduce your overall costs. Many utility companies offer incentives or rebates to homeowners who improve their home's energy efficiency. Contact your local energy provider or government agencies to learn about available programs in your area, and consult with a professional insulation installer to maximize your savings.

It's not necessary to remove old insulation before adding new insulation, as long as the existing insulation is in good condition—dry, free of mold, and not damaged. Adding new insulation on top of old insulation can improve your home's energy efficiency by increasing the overall R-value. However, if the old insulation is wet, moldy, or damaged, it's best to remove it before installing new insulation to prevent potential health risks and ensure optimal performance.

Insulating a house takes between five and twelve hours for batts or boards, and two to five hours for spray foam or blown-in insulation. The exact time depends on the size of your home, the type of insulation, and the accessibility of the areas being insulated. Keep in mind that projects may take longer if old insulation needs removal, if there's a larger square footage, or if spaces are difficult to reach.
