"Chris arrived on time and adjusted two sprinkler heads to keep from over spraying the road. He then replaced a head that wasn't working. I have used this company for the past several years as needed to replace or adjust heads. I have always been please with their work."

"I contacted Water Works to find and repair the leak in my rock waterfall. Brian was prompt and helpful. Although he didn't do the work himself, he reviewed what I needed and a informed his staff. There was a slight misunderstanding on the quote as not all the work we anticipated was necessary and he requested all our contact be via text or phone. We compromised due to the misunderstanding. The leak was tricky to diagnose and his son came out several times to make adjustments without additional charge. Overall I'm very pleased! My waterfall is working and looking great for less money than I wasted on it with another contractor last year. I highly recommend Water Works."

"They've been doing our lawn for years.  As a matter of fact, I just got off the phone with them a few minutes ago to ask them to send a specialist out to review some things.  I'm seeing some brown patches and some weeds, and I think I shouldn't see.  They're coming for a routine maintenance next week, and I just wanted to make sure that there's not something that we need to be doing.  I pay annually.  I've got new sod.  I just had this particular sod put in last year, and even after the weed control I'm still seeing some forms of weeds more than others.  So they're gonna come out here in the next day or two and inspect, and we're gonna talk about how we need to adjust the treatment on this new sod.  For price, I really don't know anything else to compare it to because I've used them for so long.  It's probably the same as anybody else,  I mean, I can't say that I like paying what I pay. You're paying more for less quality. Like right now, I'm having my deck re-done.  This deck's been here for twenty-one years, and boards are beginning to noticeably rot after twenty-one years, and so they're pulling these boards up and these boards are cedar.  You can't buy cedar boards like this anymore.  You go to the treated lumber and hope you get ten years out of them. "

FAQs for lawn and garden sprinkler system installation projects in Salem, SC

While drip irrigation systems have higher upfront costs, they can save you money in the long run. By delivering water directly into the soil with minimal evaporation and runoff, drip irrigation systems conserve water and improve efficiency. This means better performance and results for your landscaping, and cost savings over the system's lifespan.

Yes, irrigation systems can add value to your home, especially when installed with high-quality materials and a solid design. A well-irrigated landscape enhances curb appeal and can attract potential buyers. However, poor design or installation may reduce performance and even decrease your property's value. Hiring an expert for installation and performing regular maintenance is key to securing the long-term benefits.

A local irrigation professional can help you check your drip irrigation system to make sure it's in good shape. You'll want to make sure the water pressure is in a good range, repair any leaks as soon as possible, and cover the cost to winterize your sprinkler system as recommended by your irrigation contractor.

A drip irrigation system lasts between 10 and 15 years. This lifespan is determined by the quality of materials, the precision of installation, and regular professional maintenance. Unlike traditional sprinkler systems that can last up to 50 years, the thinner piping used in drip systems is more sensitive to UV exposure and environmental wear. Proper upkeep and timely repairs enhance durability and ensure consistent irrigation performance.

Drip irrigation is best suited for plant beds, containers, greenhouses, and row crops. It supplies water directly to individual plants, ensuring precise moisture control where it is needed most. For areas with simple layouts, above-ground systems work efficiently, while subsurface installations may be cost-prohibitive in spaces with extensive tree roots or irregular terrain. Proper planning maximizes the benefits of drip irrigation across a variety of applications.
