"My wife and I sat spent a good amount of time and research personally designing exactly how we want our Condo renovation to look. We have quality taste; and knew we needed the right contractor for the job to match all the design plans exactly. We searched around for many companies for knowledge, experience, professionalism; and price. I live in a 1 Bedroom / 1 Bathroom Condo (with an awesome view); with very strict HOA; so I had to find the right fit contractor for a detailed job. We are very detailed people; and picky with having things done perfectly in designs; so combining how we are with our plan to do a full (every single room) renovation of my condo on the 16th floor; we knew it would be quite the extensive project. When Dorel gave us a walk-through back in December 2022; he was extremely confident; calm; and knowledgable. IND reviews and pics online that showed their work were excellent. Quote came back close to budget; so the combination of all these things; helped us choose IND to do the work. With many restrictions in our HOA; IND provided a seamless process; and adhered to all the rules / regulations. The work that their contractors did (Javier & a few others); was high quality / professional work. Over the 4 months the project took to complete; we were provided clear expectations of the process and each step of the way. We personally made multiple additions / changes to the original plan; and IND easily added things and worked everything into the plan smoothly. We now have our condo looking not only like a dream come true; but literally the most beautiful Condo in the entire building. We already started referring other condo owners to IND and Dorel. "We needed a bathroom remodel along with fixing a few older issues, and after speaking with a few contractors, we chose Buildwright. Edoe took the time to explain everything clearly and helped us understand what needed to be done. The crew worked carefully and even repaired some problems we had not noticed before. Communication was great throughout the project, and Edoe made sure every detail was done right. The bathroom now looks clean, modern, and much more functional. He also followed up after the project was completed to make sure everything was in good condition, which we really appreciated. Highly recommended! ?????"

"Our initial meeting with Suj was great. Initially, we had in mind a much larger job. He had quoted us $3000 for the closet demolition / wall rebuild (non-load bearing), packaged with several other items. Together with the fee for drawings ($4000) and permits, this was a bit higher than we anticipated. However, we decided to go with Suj due to his responsiveness and professionalism. Out of our other quotes, Suj’s pricing was middle of the pack - not the cheapest or most expensive. When the drawings were complete and evaluated, he gave us an updated cost of $6000 over text message. The scope of work had changed, and this was no longer part of a bigger project - understandable. The issue was when he gave us the official estimate a week later and up’d the price once again to $9000. When asked what happened, his exact words were “well, I need to get paid too”. He had weeks to consider before quoting the $6000 and nothing had changed since then. The extra $3000 may be insignificant compared to most renovation costs, but for us in our first home, this was back breaking. We continued with Suj since we were already locked in and well past the 3 day cancellation period. Their work for the most part was exceptional. The new wall blended perfectly into our existing structure, and the ceiling patch was also well done. The problem here was the floor. They had dug up a 1” deep pit in the floor, likely to remove the wall studs. However, they did not patch the floor or even let us know this was going to be an issue. We were never told about the pit until I decided to check in on their progress one day towards the end of the wall build. This required us to pay a handyman to come in next day on a weekend to patch the concrete since we had cabinets being installed the following Tuesday. Suj was aware of this and did not believe it pertinent information. Overall, Suj and SoCal Builders do quality work, but the issues in pricing consistency lost us before the work even started. Not even telling us that we’d be left with a 1” deep pit in our floor after was another huge issue which should’ve been brought up much earlier. This was our first experience with a contractor and I’m not sure if this is typical or not. However, it’s enough to make me doubt I’d contact them for any future work."

"The KN Remodeling team did an excellent job at our home completely remodeling 3 bathrooms, painting our entire home and rebuilding a huge planter outside. We trusted them in our home while we are out of town almost the entire time. We hired them back to do additional work in our home that they did quickly and expertly. The team was professional, very friendly, worked quickly, quietly, cleanly, and I would highly recommend them."

"Mike Mamen called back within the hour. Next day I showed him the problems with my 90-year-old garage's roof and wiring. He tell me that existing 2x4 rafters could be sistered rather than replaced with 2x12. Additional 2x6 tie beams across garage. He recommended all new shingles, garage door, side door, window, lights, and outlets. Exterior paint on stucco and wood trim. Mike recommended replacing the house 100A electric service panel with 200A, in addition to trenching a conduit between house and garage. He also recommended grading behind the garage to route water away from its foundation. Also, adding gutters and downspouts to both the garage and house. Later we discovered that the house's facia needed to be replaced. He drove me to two current job sites, introduced his crew, and showed the work being done. Mike is knowledgable, direct, friendly, and talkative. Listens to my concerns and ideas, then presents options and his recommendations. Responds to later questions and text messages. Knows local building codes and permitting process. Works by the book -- written contract proposals describe the job and materials. Flexible in handling changes and unexpected glitches. Does minor tasks gratis. Personally attends inspections. Likewise, foreman and electrician Luis is friendly and competent. I am pleased with the competence and results of MF Construction and Design. The entire job took about seven weeks. It was more expensive than I would have thought. OTOH I did not get other bids."

"We thought to give our guestroom a new look and approached Platinum Home Builders for some unique ideas. One of their designers Ted suggested laminate flooring. He assured to change the look completely. Honestly speaking it was actually magnificent. I am now planning to shift to the guest room."

"I was referred to 800 Remodeling by Angie's List, and the owner, Amir, called me literally minutes after I received the referral. I described my situation to him and we scheduled a meeting at my home for the following day. He arrived promptly and immediately introduced himself with a picture ID and his state contractor's license. After inspecting the cracks that were of concern to me in a structural post supporting a major beam, he took some pictures and promised to get back to me with some recommendations. The next day, he called just as he had promised, told me that after talking with a structural specialist he did not believe the post needed to be replaced, but nevertheless gave me a rough-order-of-magnitude estimate on what a replacement would cost, should I decide to have that done. After some additional research, I concluded that the cracks are typical and not impairing the structural integrity of the post, and decided for added insurance simply to reinforce the post with some wrap-around steel bands. Since that is a small and simple job, Amir offered to refer me to someone else to do that job for me. He did not charge me for the consultation or the time he spent in discussions with other specialists. So although I ultimately didn't hire him for this job, I was impressed by his professionalism and shall definitely be contacting him again for some larger jobs I am planning in the future."

"My wood balcony has termites and water damages. So I hired RET to do the job. Kevin gave estimates and recommended composite planks for floor and red woods for railings. His workmanship was very professional and finished on time! On top of that, Kevin updated my balcony to the latest building codes. His price is very reasonable. If you want cheap prices and lousy jobs,hire someone else! Highly recommended!"
