"The project has taken about 9 weeks and it went very smoothly from start to finish. There were a few different tradesmen that Frank Steward used on the project. As the project progressed each team was scheduled as needed and they showed up on time or even a little early. They were all very professional, and efficient. They took pride in their work and answered any questions/concerns that we had in each step of the way. I didn't realize there would be so much to re-do a fireplace. <br /> Frank had us meet Tony and I showed him several pictures of the mantles that I liked and I looked at his portfolio. He came over to the house to get the dimensions and about a week later he showed us a detailed drawing of his design-which I loved. He is very talented and excellent at his craft. <br /> The first step was to remove the old brick hearth and haul away the debris. Then a block wall was built in front of the old brick facade to increase the depth of the fireplace. The gas line was moved to another wall. Next was the tile. We purchased our marble tile from Walker Zanger. The tile workers helped me arrange them on the floor so I could look at them one more time before installation and they helped organize them. After the tile was installed Tony did the final measurements for the custom alder wood mantel with legs and Frank did the final measurement for the glass doors. While we were waiting for the mantle to be built and painted; the firebox was cleaned out and it was painted black. The burner and gas log sets were installed. <br /> Tony just installed the mantle on Friday and the finished product is gorgeous! He is very detailed oriented and very particular about his work. Now we just need a little winter weather so we can use the remote control to lite the logs. <br /> We were very impressed with Frank and his team; Pablo, Tony, Ray and Carol. Carol is the rep in the office and she was always able to give me an answer to any question that we had along the way. Our experience was nothing but positive and I highly recommend Frank and his team. <br />"

"These folks installed a metal chimney liner and a rotating top on our chimney. When there was a small problem with the installation, the owner came out within a couple days and fixed it. Also came out a year later and made an adjustment at no charge. Really nice team. Organized and dependable. Would def recommend."

"I have a fireplace that I haven't used in an long time. I'm planning on starting to use it again and wanted it inspected first. Even though they're based in Orange County they agreed to come all the way to WLA (Culver City) to do the inspection. Pedro & Diego arrived a little late (though they did call to say they were running a behind.) The inspection, which was accomplished quickly and professionally, found a few mostly minor issues. They explained what they found and what my options were to deal with it without any pressure. I OK'd the inspection report and they went right to work. They paid special attention to keeping my home clean (putting on shoe covers before coming into the house and removing them as they leave the house, for example.) Overall I was very satisfied with my experience and wouldn't hesitate to use them again."

"I'm really behind on writing my reviews, so I am writing this on 11/2017 though the service was performed 1/2016. Everything went well and Claudio was professional, thorough, neat and friendly. The fireplace/chimney cleaning price of $119 I thought was reasonable after shopping around. When Claudio went up on the roof, he said I didn't have a spark arrestor on the chimney but fortunately he carried some on his truck. I was surprised that it cost $200, but since he was already here, I had him install it because I trusted him when he said he charges a competitive price. He also checked the condition of the bricks of the chimney stack and noted there were cracks in the mortar that should be sealed within a few years. We talked about converting to gas logs so Claudio removed the wood burning stuff and capped off the gas. He wrote down the name of a popular gas log set at Home Depot, and said when I get the set to call him back for installation. Well, I got sidetracked with my house remodel, so I only just recently purchased them, but I will be calling him soon! My only negative remark is that when I had my roof inspected this year (2017), they found the old chimney cap still laying up there on the roof, but no biggie, stuff happens!"
