"From day one, I knew I was in good, professional hands working with Justin at Approved Contractor. Being out of state I was initially worried undertaking much required repairs (assisting my eldering aunt with so many repairs on her home). My fears were put to rest immediately. Justin did a walkthrough of the property via live video with me and answered all of my questions and concerns. His team removed so much damaged wood from the roof and garage and replaced with new wood and a shingle roof. His team additionally replaced a sliding glass door, power washed the entire exterior of the home, repaired and replaced stucco that was damaged on the exterior beautifully, repaired a retaining wall by my aunt's front lawn and painted the entire exterior of the home and garage. They explain all about roofing, product, if there will be any extra cost wood, look in your attic for damages, 3d pictures of your roof how it will look like after it's been done. Added extra ventilation where needed. Clean up was great. I have Dish, they paid the cost to have Dish come back out. There was no surprises! They delivered product one day, next day they removed old wood and replaced with new and extra ventilation. It's just beautiful! They went beyond did extra safety steps for the customer. My roof looks great, beautiful and I can't stop looking at it. We have the roof for Idaho weather not California. The cost is high but you will have a nice product you will not have to worry about for a very very long time. I would recommend this company they are a top quality roofing company."

"Chris and his team arrived right on schedule and because of another customer cancelling were able to begin the work on my ceilings immediately. This flexible scheduling was a HUGE plus!  They removed popcorn ceiling (circa 1980, so possibly asbestos containing) in about 900 square feet of living space (some of which was vaulted.)  Afterwards they applied a beautiful texture they called skip trowel to the ceilings and painted them.  Finally they repaired 3 medium sized holes in the drywall in my bathroom and then retextured the bathroom.  Their painting, ceiling texture, and cleanup were impeccable and I highly recommend their work on ceilings.  The bathroom (which I admit was not in a good state to start with) had excellent repairs made.  I can't tell where the new drywall is at all.  All of the work was done by a team that was respectful and professional.  I felt comfortable with them in my home, which is a huge plus - and did I mention that they cleaned up perfectly?!

There were two small hangups, both of which I think probably fall into a gray area, and for which I take partial blame since I'm just learning how to manage my own home repairs etc.  Since I strongly believe in reviewing truthfully I must point them out.  First, the re-texture in the bathroom seemed to have been done quickly, and turned out to be of uneven size and distribution.  When I called the next day to ask them to come work on the texture again Chris was very kind, and had his team return when promised to sand and reapply the texture.  The results the second time were much better, and they even worked on several small sections repeatedly.  They were very polite and professional the entire time.  My advice is simply to pay very close attention to any texturing and make sure you know what you want it to look like, and what degree of imperfection you are comfortable with.  Its also helpful to have a bright portable work lamp available to view the work before the crew leaves.

The second issue happened when I was told that the small spaces between the drywall and my ceiling beams that were revealed after the popcorn came down were impossible to deal with any other way than adding quarter round.  Since Chris and I had no way of knowing that this flaw was going to show up its fair for him to revise his bid higher to fix it, but I told him to just leave the spaces.  However, when my handiman showed up he told me these spaces just needed hot mud applied to them and that the beams would hold up the hot mud with no problems (the spaces were located directly on top of the beams.)  Now, my handiman did a great job with this repair, but he is definitely not a drywall specialist like Level 5 Drywall.  Did I give him my entire ceiling retexture job? No I did not.  Level 5 told me that quarter round was the only way, and I trust they thought that was the only way.  However, my little handiman managed to do a perfect job and the hot mud dried beautifully, and the spaces are gone.  Perhaps this is an instance were the handiman was willing to put in more effort? Or maybe do something a little shady in order to massage the repair to make it work? Either way, I don't mind having paid extra to have the ceiling I wanted.  If the hot mud falls out in a year I will come make a note of that on Angies List, and then hire Chris to come back and fix it. :)

Overall Chris and his team did a great job, my ceilings are beautiful and my bathroom is much MUCH better than I had believed possible. When I need drywall work again I will absolutely call Level 5!"

"If I had only one word to describe Sunny Stuco it would be IMPRESSIVE! From every aspect, we were beyond impressed by it all. For the quote process, Andy came to our house to put together an estimate, he was very friendly, accommodating and super nice to my young daughter and dog. Andy brought over samples and made suggestions and also discussed the pros and challenges of various types of stucco. He knows his stuff and wants his customers to be happy with the end product so he took the time to get to know us and the look we were going for for the exterior of our home. Andy and his employees were extremely respectful, mindful and clean throughout the process. The project took multiple weeks, they showed up early and on time each day and after each work day they would clean up all their equipment and organize it nicely. The stucco job transformed our house to a modern look and we are loving it!! We are beyond happy with the finished product, so many neighbors have walked by and said how great our house looks and compliment the job well done. We would highly recommend Sunny Stucco to anyone, a very impressive company, outstanding work ethic and commitment to the job!"

"The person who came to provide a quote was very professional and answered our questions. The 4 workers showed up on time. The job was suppose to take 2-3 day only took one and a half day to complete. They basically power-wash and started painting right the way. The fixtures was well taped up to protect them since they used spray paint on the stucco exterior. We did noticed the wood parts underneath the roof did not get proper preparation - old paint chips were just painted over without removing them first, other hidden parts looked like they weren't even touched. In addition, the top of the patio cover was left unpainted. We only just noticed that now when we have the occasion to climb up to fix something unrelated. The clean up was marginal, debris were left on the driveway and walkway. There were quite a few print marks left on the window frames. Lastly, they did not remove the plastic sheets put on our solar panels for protection. We had to call them back a few day later when our neighbours noticed the plastic sheets were still on the panels. The price was the least expensive compared to the other quotes we got, but I suppose you get what you pay for."
