"Benjamin and Mario first restretched our carpeting in May.  It continued to be loose in several areas so we called them to return and fix the problems.  They were very professional and thorough.  They restretched the carpeting and we are now very happy with the job they did. <br />"

"Andrey was my project coordinator and did a fantastic job with the design.  Anatoliy was the installer and also did a fantastic job.  All floors were thin set under backer board to ensure a perfectly level subfloor and each tile was meticulously put in place with an amazing finished product.  I have built houses in the past and have not been impressed with my tile work but this time I am sold on 5 Star for the next project.  The only con's for 5 Star was cost and time to install but those are both directly related to the quality of the finished product and based on what I got I'll happily pay a bit more and wait a bit longer for their work. <br /> <br />"

"Our experience with Casa Carpet and Tile was very good overall. <br /> <br /> They have competitive pricing, an extensive selection of all types of flooring as well as a large in-house inventory. That being said this is not your local big box store and some patrons may be put off the contractor oriented atmosphere. But the difference for us was the customer service......... I suspect that our particular salesman may be more attentive than others but the follow-up was greatly appreciated. <br /> <br /> I will definitely use them for future flooring needs."

"Excellent work! Quality was amazing. A lot of attention to detail from Rodrigo and his workers when removing the old HVAC system and installing the new one. Received professional advice throughout the whole process and was always informed on changes. Very mindful of my questions and concerns. Rodrigo went above and beyond to meet the agreed timeline without compromising quality of work."

"Our purple carpet had about 100 urine stains from previous dogs and our own. The specialist, Robert, matched to color and treated every spot. If we didn't know where they were, we'd never know they spots had been there. Perfect job!"

"I hired H&H to clean my white ceramic tile floors and grout after another company I had hired several months earlier had made a mess of my floors. The first company cleaned the grout and tile but also applied a sealant throughout the floors. At the time I did not know that the sealant was not necessary and should not be applied to ceramic tile. Within a few weeks the sealant began to peel all over and it made my white floors look brownish, dirty and ugly. I searched Angie's list for another company to redo my floors and found H&H. When I first called the company I spoke to Kevin, the owner. I told him the problem, thinking he might not want to touch someone else's mess. However, he did not hesitate. He came to my house, saw the floors and informed me that the sealant should not have been applied. He gave me the estimate to strip the sealant from the entire floor and clean the tile. I do have a significant square footage of floor! I decided to hire his company and Kevin and his brother Jim came on the day that I requested. They stripped all sealant and cleaned the floors. In one area of the floor the sealant was especially difficult to remove because the sealant was very gummy. However, they did an exceptional job! My floors are now clean, white and beautiful! I am very happy with their work. It is obvious that Kevin and Jim have a strong work ethic. They demonstrated a pride in their work that is not frequently seen, thus my beautiful floors. It is hard to find a company that is professional, does high quality work and is trustworthy like H&H. I wish I had found them first! I must also add that despite one area being harder to clean than they may have thought, they charged me the exact estimate price. So they are true to their quotes. Also, they pay attention to detail. For example, Jim checked the bottom of the legs of my den furniture. He stated that many times the protective plastic covering comes off and exposes a nail. The exposed nail can scratch the tile when they move the furniture. In fact, there were a couple of exposed nails and he hammered them down. He did not have to do that, but he did. I will definitely use their services again. I highly recommend H&H to anyone and everyone for their tile cleaning. Thank you Kevin and Jim for your excellent work!"

"He has such a passion for what he does. I learned more about wood floors than I ever thought I would know about wood floors. His workers are so professional. They came in and did what they needed to do. They would clean up everyday before they left. I packed up the entire house and called the movers. The house was empty. I had never seen it like that since way back when we bought the house. It was easier for the workers to just do their thing. The quality of the wood floors has improved the house and the value of the home has gone up because of the wood floors. They were just great."

FAQs for carpet installation projects in San Elizario, TX

Carpet rolls come in standard widths of 12 and 15 feet. Less commonly, you might find a roll 13.5 feet wide. There are no standard roll lengths, but they’ll have enough to cover almost any home.

You’ll need equal amounts of carpet padding and carpet. Carpet padding costs $200 to $500 for the average room. However, the padding is trimmed a couple of inches away from the wall on all sides to make room for tack strips. Most residential installs have padding, and professionals include this in their bids.

Often, the best carpet for basements doesn’t include a pad. You’ll find this mainly in humid areas or places with a high-water table.

One linear foot of carpet or other material is simply one foot measured in a straight line. You typically aren’t going to measure carpet this way. It’s quoted in square feet or square yards.

There are nine square feet in one square yard of carpet.

The amount of carpet you need to cover two rooms varies depending on the room size and configuration. Measure the floor space. Multiply width times length. Do this for both rooms and add the numbers together.

You’ll need between 80 and 110 square feet for 13 stairs. For unique stairwells, you might need more.

Measure indoor/outdoor carpet like you would any other area, taking the width times the length. For patios, make sure to add a couple extra inches to wrap around the edges. Indoor-outdoor carpets cost an average of $3.50 per square foot.

You’ll need enough carpet to cover the entire area of damage to avoid seams. For example, if you have a 4-inch tear in the middle of a hallway, you’ll want enough carpet to stretch from door to door or the next available seam. Depending on the type of carpet you have, you might be able to get a professional to do an invisible seam repair.

One square foot of carpet is one foot long by one foot wide.
