"Erinn was my initial contact and he gave a very through and fair estimate. We had structural work done to support floor joists and large beams under the garage that needed replacing. Ernesto and his team, Julio, Salvatore and Gilder worked tirelessly to complete the work and were respectful, punctual, informative and good humoured throughout the entire process. I would not hesitate to use them again or recommend them to others. A really great company!!"

"Bob Warren was simply terrific, i had a great experience consulting on my crawl space. Really, Ive never had a crawl space and while having one in my first home i did not know what to look for that was in need of repair. Bob did a thorough job looking over it for me and very honestly delivered me feedback. Turns out i am not in a dire need of repairs but when i do, i know who to turn to. Thank you Bob, and GroundWorks for the professionalism "

"Thank you Built Strong Construction for repairing our foundation!!! We’ve had sagging floors for years now but just recently got more cracks and doors weren’t closing and just swinging open. We hired Built Strong to fix our doors and they ended up fixing our entire foundation for a low cost. We now have our floors leveled and strong, besides the doors finally closing smoothly. We got more than we expected and so happy, thank you."

"It was fine but we chose not to do any business with them.  They quoted us $1500.  The sealer they wanted to use itself was expensive so we didn’t want to spend that kind of money.  They seemed to know what they were doing.  They were quite pleasant.  They got right back to me, gave me a quote quickly and seemed knowledgeable about the whole process.   "

"I am selling my house and needed to fix the foundation as it was sagging in one of my rooms.  I contacted E.J. and he came to the house and explained the entire process.  He was very friendly, knowledgeable and professional and answered all of my questions and concerns.  I received the quote when they said I would and found the price to be reasonable.  They did not try to up sell me which I appreciated.  The crew was also professional and clean.  They cleaned up around the house daily, I had no problems.  The floor feels solid now and no longer squeaks!  I am very happy with the work performed and the experience with E.J. and his crew was very smooth and stress free.  I will definitely recommend them to anyone who needs foundation work. <br />"

"We were not comfortable with the bids (and the contractor's attitudes), so I found Adam here on Angie's List. I liked the reviews and the fact he had some engineering experience. He came out and took the time to review the plans in detail. He then went in the pit to inspect. Adam had some concerns about the plan and the weight of the sand on the existing foundation wall. He then took the time and effort to suit up and go through the crawl space to inspect the back side of the foundation. <br /> After Adam's inspection, he took the time to design a new infill plan that would not have the weight of the structure against the foundation. He worked with the engineer, who accepted the plan and revised his drawings. Adam put together a fair bid for the work and we hired him. <br /> Adam and his team were meticulous in the work. Sometimes, a lot of question get asked, but it is important to pay attention to details and not make assumptions. <br /> The results were wonderful.  If we would have hired the other contractors. our foundation may have failed. <br /> I would not hesitate to hire him for our next job.  <br /> <br />"

"Will and his team at CXC did a great job replacing a failing stem wall perimeter foundation on my 1920s mid-city home. I bid the project out to six different contractors. His bid came in close to most and it became quickly apparent that his crew would delivery the highest quality and integrity to the job. His ability to accommodate my scheduling needs, the crew's many years of experience and overall professionalism, and the quick communication from the office administration all resulted in a great experience. A big shout out to WILL (Owner), CELSO (Foreman), and ROSANNA (Administration). Word of advice, get multiple bids and always verify general commercial liability insurance and that it covers the type of work that is going to be done. CXC's was easily verified...others were not and in some instance foundation repair was not even underwritten into their policies. CXC is BBB accredited, many others are not. I would not hesitate to work with Will and CXC again on my future projects."

"The entire bathroom was gutted out, new plumbing, cabinets, vanity and of course  the infamous TILE! I went ahead and explained how I wanted the design and color scheme. They completed the job as I had planned, total transformation.  Will call them later no for any other projects I have in mind."

"On his bid, he copiously wrote it out, which is not standard for the practice.  He was meticulous in writing everything out.  He really helped me! He spent a long time explaining the burrito-ing of the French drain.  By the end of the project, I was an expert at waterproofing, French drains, and retaining walls.  He really taught me a lot and helped me through the project.  He followed up with a really nice phone call.  He was wonderful!"

FAQs for foundation, basement or crawlspace waterproofing / encapsulation projects in San Jacinto, CA

The most affordable way to waterproof your basement is with interior methods like waterproof paint, costing between $1 and $8 per square foot, or silicate concrete sealers priced at $4 to $6 per square foot. However, these solutions are only suitable for certain issues. If your basement moisture is due to more serious problems like a cracked foundation, you'll need more extensive (and costly) repairs.

Absolutely! Waterproofing your basement is a smart investment that can increase your home's value. By keeping your basement dry and free of moisture problems, you protect your home's structural integrity and make it more appealing to potential buyers. Plus, taking proactive measures now can prevent costly water damage repairs down the line.

The time required to waterproof a basement depends on the selected method. Some approaches to interior waterproofing, like paint or sealant, can be completed within a day. Installing new drains or weeping tiles will need at least two to three days of labor. Any forms of exterior waterproofing that require you to excavate land will require an additional three days of work to prepare the ground.

Yes, basement waterproofing can significantly increase your home's value. A dry, leak-free basement is a strong selling point for potential buyers, enhancing your property's desirability and market price. Investing in professional waterproofing not only protects your home's structural integrity but also ensures a healthier living environment by preventing mold and mildew growth.

Waterproofing both the interior and exterior of your basement offers the best protection against moisture. Exterior waterproofing stops water from penetrating your foundation, while interior methods manage any moisture that does enter. If you must choose one, exterior waterproofing is generally more effective, as it prevents water from reaching your home's interior in the first place.
