"He arrived on time and was done within an hour. Very professional, efficient, and friendly. The chimney was cleaned from the bottom and the area around the fireplace was blocked off so that no soot escaped. He climbed on the roof and inspected the chimney cap and said the chimney and cap were fine. I would definitely recommend Lonestar Air Duct & Chimney."

"Josh was great to work with! He was honest about the fact that I didn't need my chimney swept and instead charged me only for the cleaning of the box and gas logs and took time to replace them in an aesthetically pleasing way. He cleaned the air ducts quickly and with little mess, always cleaning up after each one. He even fixed a minor issue caused by the previous homeowner that he discovered with the duct work and charged a very reasonable fee for it. I will definitely work with him in the future for any needed services."

"Shane examined the problem area where multiple roof lines intersect and the original flashing and shingles in that area were inadequate. He proposed a solution in an estimate with clearly written details. Shane and his team were easy to work with. They installed newly fabricated flashing, a bitumen membrane, and new shingles. They showed up when promised and finished the job over two days, cleaning up both days. When the work was done, Shane provided photos of the roof areas that are not visible from the ground, which I appreciate having. The work looks great. I'd hire Shane again."

"I had a 30 year old tile roof that had multiple water ingress points. I collected three estimates, and Wilson was right in the middle of the price range. I selected Wilson as they are known for their experience in tile roofing--and they did not disappoint on my project. The showed up on they day they were scheduled on time. And over the next week they demolished the existing roof, repaired the points of any wood rot, rebuilt the chimney, replaced a skylight, and re-tiled the roof perfectly."

"This is the 3rd year we have used DS to clean our dryer vent and <br /> chimney. However, we skipped last year and were paying the price. Smoke <br /> was not being pulled up and out of the chimney as it should; instead, it <br /> was pouring into the house. We called DS but had to wait because of <br /> their heavy schedule - our fault for skipping a year, since we burn a <br /> cord to a cord and a half each year and know that their recommendation <br /> is once a year for that amount of wood burned. <br /> Patty and Sam arrived 30 minutes late, but called ahead to say they would be late <br /> because the previous job required that much longer to make repairs to <br /> the firebox. In their typical methodical fashion, and wearing all the <br /> proper safety gear, Sam went to work on the dryer vent with his vacuum <br /> after moving the dryer away from the wall and Patty cleaned the firebox <br /> and grate with her vacuum. When Sam finished the dryer vent cleaning he <br /> moved to the living room and assessed the chimney condition by shining a <br /> light up the chimney. He put on ear and nose protection and covered the <br /> area around the fireplace with plastic sheeting to protect the house <br /> from the black soot. Using a drill with various brushes and extensions <br /> to allow cleaning to the top of the chimney and a vacuum to suck up the <br /> falling soot, he spent approximately 30 minutes making certain it was <br /> thoroughly clean. Next he inspected the firebox for cracks or other <br /> things that might have to be repaired, but found none. He replaced the <br /> grate, gathered his gear and went to do the final step in the process - <br /> the roof. While he prepared to go up, Patty put the living room area <br /> back like it was, removing all the plastic and closing the screen. Sam <br /> checked the flashing around the area where the chimney exits the roof to <br /> make certain that there were no areas exposed that could lead to water <br /> leaking into the house. Sam gave the roof area a thumbs up. <br /> Patty and Sam did a thorough job in the time frame they said, and the invoice <br /> was exactly as quoted when I first contacted them. They will be on the <br /> schedule next year for sure so we don't have a repeat of this year. <br />"

"A few weeks ago, Dennis came out and looked at everything and gave us a very fair estimate - significantly less than his competitors.  He answered all of our questions clearly, and everything he predicted about how things would look and how much it would cost ended up being right.  There were no surprises.  We had a tough time getting things arranged because of our work schedules, but Dennis worked with us and did the work at a mutually convenient time. <br /> <br /> On the back porch, he used much higher quality materials with the woodwork and back pillars than the original builder had used.  He replaced the wood around the door, cleaned the rust off the door, and painted everything perfectly.  He paid close attention to detail and made our once wood-rot and rust ridden back porch look better than brand new (because of superior materials and craftsmanship). <br /> <br /> We had previously been told there was no way to feasibly repair our cabinet and that we would have to buy a new one (which would have cost almost as much as Dennis charged for everything he did).  He cleaned up the cabinet and added very nice wood trim, which totally covered the damage.  The trim perfectly matches the cabinet, and it looks great.  It also saved us hundreds of dollars. <br /> <br /> I asked Dennis about the front pillars, and he told me he could repair the damage and use the same quality materials he used in the back.  I was impressed with his workmanship and how the back porch looked, so I asked him to quote me a price.  Once again the price was very fair (and obviously a fraction of the cost of bricking the pillars).  He came back the next morning and did the work, and it looks every bit as good as the back porch. <br /> <br /> These were the highlights, but he also flawlessly reinstalled the towel rack, repaired the fence, and installed the bathroom sink. <br /> <br /> We couldn't be happier with Dennis' work, and he will be the first contractor we call for all home repairs."
