De Luxe Dye Works & Area Rug Cleaners was first started in 1890 in France with the of dyeing clothing & feathers. The dye house was moved to San Jose, California in 1912. Then in 1928 we introduced cleaning of area rugs into the company. The business is still family owed the business is now run by our 4th generation.
"We have a large family heirloom Persian rug that is over 75 years old. It was starting to ravel and Deluxe Dye Works repaired and double tied the ends. It looks amazing and hopefully will last another 75 years. We were very pleased with the work and service we received and had them clean all our rugs. We will definitely use them again and highly recommend their outstanding service."

"We moved into a beautiful new home in Aptos but our Terrazzo countertops were a little worse for wear due to acid etching and knife marks. We wanted the home to feel brand new, so we called out Mr. Peabody's to restore our countertops throughout our Kitchen, Master Bath, upstairs guest bath, and laundry room. Terry, the owner, was quick to respond with a visit to give us a reasonable quote considering how much polishing and sanding would be required to make them all like new again. Terry's stone refinishing team of Trenton and Gil came out and did an excellent job of restoring our counter surfaces throughout our house. It took one day for the kitchen and another for the bathrooms and laundry room. All of the appliances and fixtures were carefully masked off and in the original condition after the process, which was a big relief. Mr. Peabody's team was professional and courteous throughout the process. We highly recommend that you give Mr. Peabody's a call if you need your stone/quartz counters resurfaced. These guys are great at what they do!"
