"I emailed Carpet Works via Angie's List and received a call back the next day to schedule a visit for an estimate.  Rex came over the next day and reviewed all work that we needed and provided an estimate of about $550.00 plus tax.  After receiving the estimate, we continued to look for local (Santa Fe) companies that did carpet cleaning and re-stretching but  we could find none available through Angie's list.  We then re-contacted Carpet Works and scheduled an appointment for two or three days later. <br /> Jayde and his partner arrived within the appointed time and proceeded to prepare the house for the work.  After looking over the rooms that needed attention, they rolled up an expensive area rug that the carpet cleaning hose would have to cross at our request, because we did not want to risk soling it during the cleaning of the other rugs.  They put up corner protectors in key spots to avoid creating rub marks from the hose. <br /> It took a couple of hours to do all the rooms.  Jayde expressed dissatisfaction with the grout cleaning in the main bathroom and gave us a discount.  He also spent some time explaining why he thought the grout would not clean properly.  All other cleaning projects were done satisfactorily and the carpet re-stretching was well done. <br /> We did note that some stains were left on the unfinished wood stairway leading to the lower level rooms.  We called Carpet Works about this and they sent someone over the next day.  Upon inspection, they pledged to do what was needed to remove the stains.  However, given the condition the stairs were in before they stained them, we will probably just work on the removal of the stains when we recondition the wood and refinish/seal them ourselves.  In the case of the bathroom grout problem and the stairs, they did inform us of another family member who did such restorative work if we were interested. <br /> All folks we interacted with during this process, were very professional and friendly.  The offer to discount the cost of the grout cleaning service due to no fault of their own, was also appreciated.  We will definitely consider them again when our next cleaning is due. <br />"
