"This is my second time utilizing Sergey and his team at V & S Tile LLC. Four years ago, when we first purchased our home, a 1800s farm house we had them retile our floors in the kitchen, pantry, and bathroom. The floors at the time were horrible and pitched and they did an excellent job on making the floors look beautiful. When it came time to remodel our bathroom we first received a quote from a larger company. We wanted a second quote to compare it to and were happy to find the V & S Tile also did bathroom remodels. Sergey was quick to come out for a quote, took a lot of time to ask all of the important questions, gather measurements, and take photographs. V & S Tile’s quote was several thousands of dollars less than that of the other company. Throughout the length of the project I was impressed by both the hard work and friendly demeanor of V & S’s employees. During the week the only time I really seen them slow down or stop working was when they had conversations with me about the work or the property in general. The group as a whole seemed to take pride in their work and operate like a family business. Upon completion my wife and I were both very pleased with the project. Sergey’s team completed the work ahead of what the larger company had quoted which we were also grateful for as it meant use of the bathroom sooner. Sergey took the time to match the fixtures, door, and trim to that of the rest of the house and the bathroom looked great. I highly recommend V & S Tile and Bath to my friends and family and I am sure I will be using them again in the future."

"It couldn’t have gone better. My needs were urgent and they arranged their schedule to accommodate me. The estimate they gave me was fair and accurate. Their work was excellent and there was nothing that they couldn’t do. I would use them again in a heartbeat. After seeing the job they did for me, my daughter contracted with them for some kitchen remodel and flooring replaced on their entire first floor. Dom and his brothers are all excellent at what they do and if you have a job done you’d be lucky to have Joe on the job. I would not hesitate to get them to do your job if you’re looking for a top notch contractor."

"The Innovation contracting team did an excellent job on our downstairs bathroom. They do quality work, clean up after themselves, and are a pleasure to work with. Overall, I would hire them again and plan to do so for our next home improvement project. "

"Ani and his brother were timely, communicative and sent updates when each piece of work was done. The old pool house old building had issues that were revealed as work progressed, and Ani gave me quotes for what each repair would cost. He also helped me pick tile, explain why a floor covering of tile would make more sense than wood in the house. He painted, replaced the roof, created a vent, and created a shutoff switch for the pipe so that a leak might not happen in the future. Above all, the project was completed on time within his estimates. In addition, he was very good to work with and together the project came together very well. He was clear and direct, which is how I like working with someone. I would recommend A&K construction and will definitely hire them again for future projects."

"<p>Based on the many Angie's List positive reviews and Angie's List awards given to this vendor, I decided to go with them and not get additional quotes. My gut told me otherwise, and I should have listened. I am pleased with the overall result, however; it just took some aggravation to get to that point. I have been reluctant to post this review, but as an Angie's List member I feel at least obligated to do so. </p> <p>Perhaps I expect too much from contractors, holding a countertop fabricator I employed last October as the "gold standard" of quality, professionalism, responsiveness, cleanliness, and a positive attitude. With SE Kitchens I felt an overall negative attitude, and I think it carried over into the work. Skip, the owner, and two other men arrived in three separate trucks. Two of the trucks backed over two of my orange driveway-marker sticks, and I knew then we were off to a bad start. Although they took care to lay down heavy drop cloths across all my floors, they still left debris, from those cloths, that I had to clean up. After they left, I discovered I had quite a bit of bathroom cleaning to do. There were black marks on the side of the toilet, black marks on my white floor tile (I panicked when I saw what looked like a tile crack, but fortunately it was not), and debris on the floor of the linen closet. There were dirt marks (like dirty fingerprints) on my new white cabinet. There were dirt marks on part of a replaced chair railing. I could clean all that myself (and did), but then I started to notice that the applied caulk was not only in the seams of the granite (as it should be!), but on the horizontal surface itself in many places. The caulk was simply applied with a lack of attention to detail (my opinion). Though the caulk is clear, it is not invisible. There is white caulk that was spread too wide between the replaced chair railing and the painted wall above it. (I will have to attempt to paint over that strip of caulk.) Finally, the black gasket under the fixture is crooked. The gasket issue is an aesthetic thing and I notice it. But since the granite, too, is black, it's not as offensive as it otherwise could be. After all that, I discovered three tiny nicks along the edge of the granite, and I was quite concerned about those. (It turns out they are not going to create a problem.)</p> <p>On a positive note, I was pleased to see Skip take extra precaution when he used a torch to work on the plumbing in the wall! </p> <p>The height of the cabinet I bought from him is 34-1/2" - an unpleasant discovery when I saw it being installed in my bathroom! I had expected the usual 30" height, and panicked when I saw how high it is. Skip replied that "Nobody buys 30" anymore; no more back-breaking." (I.e., I won't have to bend over so much when using the sink. True, but I'm 5' 9", and I wonder how a person 8 or 9 inches shorter would respond.) In any case, I was not given a choice. I was not aware there are two different heights available. Another positive note: unlike the saleswoman who I encountered on my first visit, Skip did a terrific job helping me with the selection process of the cabinet and top. He worked with me to keep the cost down to a level with which I was comfortable, and which really did give me what I wanted and needed. </p> <p>Now, based on how I generally felt through this entire experience I was very uncomfortable with the idea of calling Skip to complain about the caulking and the nicks. I did finally call, but it was not returned. I called again several days later, and, Skip being there, took my call. He was very responsive and came to my house -- I think the next morning. He didn't give me any grief about it, as I had somewhat feared. He was pleasant, assured me the nicks were not an issue, and I am satisfied. He removed the excess caulk, and showed me that all it takes to remove it is a single-edge razor blade. "You can use [granite] as a cutting board," he then told me. (This is my first-ever granite piece and did not know what I can and cannot do to it.) </p> <p>In the end, as I indicated at the beginning of this review, I am very pleased with my new vanity. The black granite itself adds a lot of class to my bathroom, replacing a pedestal sink that offered minimal surface space and, of course, no storage space.</p> <br />"

Customers say: True professional

"Sergey was very professional from start to finish. For our small bathroom remodel Mike himself did the majority of work and was absolutely tremendous. He went over all the details with me, was very prompt and his attention to detail was great. I added additional plumbing work with some complications but it was taken care of no problem. I would highly recommend them."

"Scott and his crew are AMAZING!! Scott returned our call on the same day. He discusses all the cost associated with you project in a very timely manner. Scott and his crew are very respectful, friendly and certainly know exactly what they are doing. Scott stands by his and his crew&#39;s work. My husband and I had our kitchen completely remodeled . We also had our daughter&#39;s bedroom wall removed so that our living room was enlarged and a corner fireplace installed. Don&#39;t bother looking anywhere else. If you&#39;ve called Phoenix Property Ventures, you&#39;ve called the best!!!"

FAQs for bathroom remodel projects in Saratoga Springs, NY

You can buy a replacement vanity by selecting a pre-made unit with an integrated sink from a local home improvement supplier. Pre-made vanities are designed for easy installation and compatibility with your existing plumbing. If a ready-made option doesn't meet your needs, consider hiring a custom builder to create a vanity that fits your space and style.

You can purchase a bathroom vanity from major home improvement retailers like Home Depot and Lowe’s or online stores like Wayfair, which offer a variety of pre-made vanities. Visiting local showrooms and bathroom supply stores can also provide professional advice and help you choose the right vanity for your space.

Installing your bathroom vanity flush against the wall enhances stability and prevents shifting. This placement also eliminates hard-to-clean gaps and keeps your vanity securely in place. Building codes often require a minimum clearance of four inches from bathtubs and at least 21 inches of free space in front of the sink for accessibility and safety.

You can upgrade a single vanity to a double vanity by installing additional cabinets, a second sink, and matching fixtures. This process requires additional plumbing adjustments, countertop modifications, and careful alignment to ensure both sinks function correctly. Upgrading to a double vanity enhances bathroom functionality and offers more space, which is especially beneficial for shared bathrooms.

The best vanity top material depends on your budget, style preferences, and maintenance willingness. Materials like quartz or solid surfaces are excellent choices for durability and low maintenance. If you're on a tighter budget, laminate is affordable but less durable. Consider how much traffic your bathroom gets and choose a material that balances cost, appearance, and upkeep.

Installing a bathroom vanity takes between three and six hours. Simple installations may be completed in under three hours, while more complex projects requiring adjustments or plumbing modifications can take up to six hours or more. The installation process includes assembling cabinets, placing the countertop, installing the sink if necessary, and connecting plumbing.
