"We wanted a rustic lake home kitchen and living room remodel & I met with several contractors before I had the pleasure of meeting with Rick Tollerud. These days one is lucky if a contractor even gets back to you but I could tell right away that we had the kind of rapport I look for in someone I want to do business with. He was extremely articulate, genuine, detail oriented and extremely responsive. He always made me feel like I was the only project he was managing though I knew he had many. Rick had a team of tradespeople that he trusted fully and they trusted him They were all very friendly, professional, on time and meticulously cleaned up after themselves every day. It was very soothing to hear these tradespeople volunteer their own positive comments about Rick while here about how they also valued Rick's organizational and communication skills. It's one thing to run a tight ship but another to be totally respected for it. Sure enough the remodel was done on time even through 2021-22 supply crisis times. I'm sure a lot of that was due to Rick's deliberate premeditated anticipation for exactly what would be needed and when. We worked together to come up with some really fun and unique upgrades. Rick worked to think through every move so it was done correctly and by code. Any issue I thought might have been a problem he worked to make sure it wasn't. No remodel is 100% perfect and there were a couple of minor little things that needed attention since the end date and Rick promptly responded and confidently let me know not to worry and it would be taken care of asap and sure enough it was. Our home turned out beautifully with meticulous attention to detail and high quality workmanship. We have more remodeling to do & when we are ready we will be having Rick back no question about it."

"Jeff was very receptive and tuned in with the ideas we had in mind. He was straightforward with the possibilities and the limitations of the options we had for project. The project started pretty much right on schedule around mid July. Any few obstacles the project had regarding materials, regulations, or schedules, were promptly addressed to our satisfaction. Within three and a half weeks construction was completed. I was not expecting these guys to build things so quickly. It was a pleasure to have Jeff, Shane, and Jake. They were all professional, yet friendly. The very few things we had noticed during construction that required fixing they addressed to our satisfaction without hesitation. Their craft is top-notch. As a bonus you get a wonderful team of fun, friendly individuals doing everything possible to make your outdoor living dream space a reality. "The entire process was a fiasco. Mike and his team built our deck without checking the ledger board or apparently using a level. Our deck started to sag in the middle and we called his team out to look at it. They did a quick fix which did not resolve the issue. We called Mike and had a brief discussion, and he told us, "I don't know what to tell you". He then hung up on us. We eventually got him to come back out. He had an attitude the entire time. His crew admitted to not checking the ledger board. Our deck is lower on one end and has several areas of buckling. Mike had nothing but excuses. One of his team members offered a solution. They worked on it and left without asking for feedback. Mike never followed up. They also don't use hidden fasteners so there are holes in our no maintenance decking. Mike was completely rude and unprofessional. They built our deck wrong and he made us, the customer, feel like the bad people. His crew also took the dirt from the footings and threw it under our arborvitae bushes. I had to dig it all out by hand. There are a lot of deck builders. Do you research. I wish we had."
