"Well, it's fixed. A learning experience ? get many bids and make sure the company wants your business. Pros ? Technicians were polite and respectful of my home while I worked in meetings all day. ? The pooling water issue in the basement was resolved, and the floor is now dry; the work was ultimately completed. ? Initial estimate visit was free, but not thorough ? Senior staff came out later to apologize and review the work. Cons ? Pricing was far higher than industry norms based on later bids. ? Avoidable scope changes and price increases after work began; two other plumbers said the job could have been done as originally quoted. ? Communication issues (delayed quotes, unclear explanations, forgotten site details). ? Work quality/finishing didn?t match the premium price; two professionals asked if we had done the work ourselves. Added pictures because I don't know plumbing, so you decide if you'd want this. ? Extra fees add up: 10% financing fee (Synchrony) and 4% credit card fee."

So I paid the 100$ appointment fee and had them tell me the part number so i could order it off amazon for 30$ and replace it myself. "These guys are great. They stayed in touch, were on time, made minimal cuts in the drywall (made sure they were behind the microwave hood area and range. They stayed in touch with city inspectors and coordinated visits. In fact, the inspector signed off on the permit after installation without requiring a second inspection with the appliance hooked up and running, because, he said, I've seen these guys' work before and they are top notch. Everything was smooth and easy. And the bid was the bill. No surprises and that is a blessing in any remodeling project. Highly recommend."

"Our CPVC house piping had a lot of water hammer. After turning on the washing machine, I walked out for a moment, and then when I came back in water was dripping from the ceiling exhaust fan onto the washing machine. We have a two story house and they ran the hot water plumbing from the water heater in the garage through the laundry room ceiling. I removed the exhaust fan and could see water dripping from a tee way back beyond reach. The water hammer from the washer likely caused the fitting to start leaking. I turned the house water supply off and sent a message to Simpson plumbing through Angie's list. A lady from Simpson plumbing contacted me right away the next morning. She was courteous, but was having a hard time understanding what the problem was. Maybe I was giving too much information or something, but when the plumbers arrived later that afternoon they didn't understand what was going on. I ran through what happened again and showed them the wet spot on the ceiling. They had to cut an opening in the ceiling and we turned the water on and confirmed the leak. We moved my washing machine out of their way and they cut out the CPVC tee and replaced it with PEX. The piping was brittle so it took him a couple of attempts to get a straight cut which is why I called them to mess with it. After installing the PEX tee, we were leak free and at my request they provided a reference for the drywall repair. He also advised getting some water hammer arrestors installed on the supply lines to the washing machine to stop the water hammer, which I have since done."

"Initial visit for water heater repair was great, fast response and service from Ryan. About a month later Josh did a maintenance review of our furnace and air conditioner. We decided that rather than try to repair our very old equipment we would opt for new. Derrick presented different options, we felt comfortable with his presentation, not pressured at all and confident about this recommendations. Yesterday, Ted and Daniel installed the new AC unit and furnace and we are appreciating the efficiency of our new air conditioner. I have been impressed with the customer service, responsiveness and professionalism of this company. Highly recommend."

"I bought the $99 furnace service in October for a furnace that was going in and out and also needed cleaned, as well as to see if there were any parts that would help it work better. The igniter was replaced, although I thought the price a little high at $275, not including the servicing purchase. The furnace worked fine until January when it quit completely (as we had kind of anticipated although the furnace was not ancient, it was 12 or so, and no fault of Sun Glow, a different part froze up). I got an estimate from a couple of companies and ended up picking another for the new furnace, primarily due the the other installer measuring the rooms in the house and checking the insulation properties of the windows rather than basing it on a square footage estimate alone. From what I have read, our old furnace was too big for the house and that may have contributed to it's earlier than expected demise. The new one is much lower in BTUs, and both companies provided estimates with a smaller furnace than we had previously, but Sun Glow picked a larger one that than was eventually installed. Pricing appeared similar, but hard to tell with different brands and sizes of furnaces, filters, etc. in the estimates. The estimater was professional, prompt, and came at very short notice. So although, I didn't chose this company, I had no problems with their service work and would call them again for another estimate.

"It went very well. It has been working just great and I didn't have to replace it. He was very helpful and I now have hot water. The woman on the phone I spoke with seemed very helpful as well. I will call them when I need a new water heater. I only had to pay for a service call and 2 small parts which is great."
