"Overall the project went very well. They communicated effectively. They were flexible and responded to our concerns in a timely manner. They altered the floor plan of our old, disastrous master bathroom and created a walk-in closet. This was all done according to a layout we came up with. Prior to project commencement we discussed with Jim and America what we wanted. We were clear on the layout though sketchy on the details. They drew up a contract that itemized what would be done and the price for it. The contract included a payment schedule. We added on some extra work during the project that increased the final contract price by about 10%. The bathroom fixtures, vanity and countertop, tiles, shower glass and closet organizer were not included in the contract price. Things like the demolition of existing stuff, installation of fixtures and tiles, framing, drywall, painting, electrical wiring, and the under plumbing were included in the contract price. The demolition was fast and efficient and done with minimal mess. They built a stand-in shower, rerouted the plumbing for a bathtub and toilet and wired an electrical layout. They also installed new windows, lights, ceiling fans, a vanity and hung doors. The framing, drywalling, plumbing, electrical work, painting, fixture installations and finishing work were all excellent. Our only complaint is that their tile subcontractor was a bit sloppy. We had him replace some tiles he chipped during install. These replacements were done at the contractor's expense. There were a few project delays that were mostly from our end. For example: the freestanding bathtub we wanted was out of stock and had to be backordered. It took a good 2 months to arrive. OC Home Builders made suggestions as to designers and suppliers. We went with some of their suggestions such as which mirror and shower glass installer to use. However, they worked just as well with suppliers we chose. Things would have gone more smoothly and quickly for us if we had known ahead of time exactly what we wanted and had it lined up to go. During the project they were respectful of our home and privacy as much as one can be during a remodel. They were responsible to be left alone on the premises and they locked up the house if they left when we were not there. They made efforts to keep the dust and paraphernalia confined to the work area of our home and they did a good job of that. They didn't leave a mess when they left. The final result looks good and works great. Jim and America Fischer and their crew got the job done."

"After several long years of designing and permitting our home remodel during the pandemic, we were searching for a good contractor to build out our remodel and second story addition. Avi and David were wonderful; very thorough in explaining the process, answering all of our questions, and settling on a price that was reasonable and within our budget. "We've been in our Lakewood home over 27 years and finally made the decision to put our "60's kitchen out to pasture. We had three good contractors bid for this project. We were most impressed by Ben of Creative Home Remodeling Group. His enthusiasm, attention to detail and follow-thru remained constant from concept to completion. Ben overperformed and under promised. His crew of company contractor specialists have been with him for years, and their rapport and communication showed in the finished project. He was on site and/or in phone contact with them and us constantly. They finished ahead of time with Ben staying on task through each stage and to final inspection. No reflection on Ben or his company, but us being a first- time user of a contractor's services, we were a little green about the process, the quotation and what to expect. It is often said to add 20% to the bid for unexpected costs. There were two legitimate additions that couldn't be anticipated. They were fully explained and understood. It is important for anyone doing this, to make good notes and keep in mind what the bidder is contracting to provide and what your responsibilities will be. Ben made this clear from the start-nothing hidden. Many items required us to go to the vendor, choose, and to pay directly, outside the bid parameters. These items-specifically: the vinyl flooring, the quartz counter tops and backsplash, sink, faucet and disposal being the main ones. For the most part, only the highest expense (the cabinets) was factored into the quotation. My wife and I would use Ben and Creative Remodel again and recommend him and his Studio City company without reservation"
