"We hired WPC to construct an addition our home. The project started well and we were generally happy with their work. There were several points where their oversight of subcontractor work was lacking, including a major framing mistake and roofing material that did match the rest of our house. Their invoices lacked details and upon requesting receipts and hours breakdown it was clear there were some discrepancies. For example, we were charged 8 hours for two 20 minute inspection appointments. Getting towards the end of the project it was clear that they were going to far exceed the budget our contract specified and work was very sporadic, dragging the project schedule out unnecessarily. We had a disagreement about how they were applying their margin to a new heating system in our existing home (i.e. not part of the addition), which eventually led them pulling out of the project. Had they not done that, we would have fired them due to their poor performance. We had a neighbor who hired them for a DADU project and he had a similar complaint about them not being able to deliver at the end of the project. We were lucky to find another contractor that actually showed up to do the work and did exactly what they said they would do."

"Obviously Covid has made everything tough, and we had the added complication of doing a remodel in Seattle while living in California. Corey helped navigate both challenges and was a good partner throughout - flexible, always kept us informed of progress/decisions, and super easy to work with. He went above and beyond helping acquire materials and even suggesting ideas that helped make the project a success. Corey brought a great team of subs and he also did a lot of work himself which helped us stay on budget. We were very pleased with the work and the relationship. We’ll definitely use Corey again if need arises."

"Joel is the contractor who did our bathroom remodel. We are very HAPPY with his work. We found out about him from one of our friend's referral. First, he did a walk thru at the beginning and ask what our intentions for the bathroom was. He gave as a quote. He had us buy all the materials. So we were not price gauged from the materials and we could choose exactly what we wanted. If you don't know where to look for materials, he will recommend you places to look. Before we started our project. He put down a protection covering. Which was a flooring cover to make sure the path to our bathroom will be protected throughout the project. Everyday before he left, he or his crew cleaned the area of remodel. Once he completed each stage of the project, that's when payment was due. He was willing to work with our chaotic schedule. The project was completed and everyone whoas come over to see the bathroom has been impressed with the quality and craftsmanship of Joel and his crew. "

"We hired Husam to install new doors, floor and window trim (painted/stained as well). Based on his estimate this would cost just over $3k and take 3-4 days to complete. Husam (his employee Nii) started work on Dec. 1st, 2022. By Dec. 6th, they hadn't yet completed the install or painting of the doors and hadn't started on anything else. Nii had installed the doors incorrectly (switched left- and right-swing doors around, for example) several times and despite assurance from Husam, the workmanship continued to be poor and the work significantly slower than advertised. On Dec. 6th, we informed Husam that we didn?t want him to continue and asked for a partial refund of the deposit ($1500) since the quoted amount for the door install was $1050 and it was not yet complete. Husam agreed but never responded again beyond sending an updated bill totaling $1500 instead. We filed a claim in small claims court and we finally got our partial refund 2 years later once the court ruled in our favor."

"I reached out to Johnson & Sons and several other contractors to discuss the possibility of opening up and completely remodeling my kitchen and bathrooms, with the addition of a shower to the former half bath off the master suite. After receiving bids and meeting with each contractor, I went with Johnson & Sons due to the transparency and consideration Vic Johnson showed when discussing the project and its challenges, as well as providing a detailed quote. Because this remodel involved the removal of walls, tiling of the kitchen/bathrooms, potential size constraints, and a re-plumbing of the house, It was very important for me that things be done correctly, to code and with permits. Once demo and construction started, things proceeded at a brisk pace with minimal lag between subcontractors, and inspections. Their tile guy, Tony was great to work with and very helpful with making the appropriate detail selections around the showers. We did have a long wait for a cosmetic piece of cabinet siding, which ended up being the final part needed to complete the project. Vic was direct with me about the issue and the delay. Such a minor issue is in my opinion, very small potatoes compared to having quality work done. Ultimately, Johnson & Sons came in slightly under their contract price - a very pleasant and welcome surprise."

"We worked with Aaron on a full home remodel in 2023 and again in 2025 after our house was destroyed in a bomb cyclone. Working with him a second time was an easy decision because of our excellent prior experience and because he knew our home inside and out. Despite the circumstances, Aaron’s pricing was fair, and we never felt taken advantage of. When subcontractor costs came in lower than expected, he was transparent and passed the savings directly on to us. He was always open to discussing budget and adjusting the scope as needed. Aaron is someone I trust completely. He is honest, sincere, does excellent work, and genuinely cares about doing the job right. Even after the final payment, his team returned promptly to handle small fixes, which has not been our experience with other contractors. Jake and the rest of the team were also wonderful to work with. I hope we never need another rebuild, but for any future project, Aaron would be my first call."
