"Had a wonderful experience. They took out my tub and installed a wonderful shower with safety bars, rainwater shower head and glass sliding shower doors. I look forward to my shower every day. Just love it. And everyone I worked with was great and very helpful. My shower turned out beautiful. I would highly recommend this company."

"Brian came to our home to do a tub to shower installation. He was very respectful and reviewed what he would be doing. The project was completed within the time frame we were told. Again, he reviewed what he had done and how to properly care for the shower. It really looks great and we are looking forward to using it. Thank you Brian and rite window team. Respectfully Leslie Greeley Brewster Ma"

"Long Baths is simply great. They installed the shower of my dream that through no fault of their own succumbed to a manufactures defect. Chris Reynard and Long Baths worked fast and replaced my shower covered by my warranty at no additional charge. I am thankful to know I worked with a company that stood by their work and lifetime warranty."

"Project was done timely. A couple of minor imperfections with shelf installation in the shower. The one year follow up was never done. Scheduled, but canceled by PIC. It has been 3-years now."

"The tile shower came out beautiful.  The pattern of the tiles flows nicely.  There are no awkward spots.  Everything functions perfectly.  The carpet and wallpaper also look great, and we appreciate the extra effort it took to work with wallpaper that had bubbles and curled edges.  (The wallpaper was picked by us.  The brand was Brewster, and we would never recommend it.)   Everything A & D Renovation did was done with quality in mind.  We would absolutely have them do work for us again."

"I had a great experience with them.  I really like how quickly they responded to my queries.  They were very professional.  They had to come back and install something that was not installed properly.  They were very quick and responded to that."

"Great team and great job from start to finish. The estimator was personable and knowledgeable and we received a good quote to get propane service installed, a new on demand tankless water heater and future service line for a propane fireplace. Great job from start to finish, would hire them again. Bill, Kennebunk"

FAQs for shower installation and replacement projects in Sebago, ME

You should regrout tile every 10 to 15 years, provided it is well-maintained with regular cleaning and sealing. Over time, grout can deteriorate due to exposure to moisture, foot traffic, and the use of cleaning agents. If you start to see cracks, discoloration, crumbling grout, or loose tiles, it’s a sign that regrouting is needed sooner.

The most effective way to clean grout involves a combination of powerful cleaning agents and the right tools. Using a dedicated grout brush intensifies the cleaning process, ensuring a deep clean. Create a powerful homemade solution by mixing baking soda, hydrogen peroxide, and dish soap to break down deeply embedded dirt. After cleaning, reseal the grout to lock in protection and maintain its appearance.

You can't regrout tile without removing the existing grout and expect good, long-lasting results. You must replace the old grout when it begins to crumble and fail. New grout cannot properly adhere to existing grout, meaning moisture will still reach the damaged layer and cause additional water damage, which will be more costly to deal with in the long run.

Visible indicators, such as cracks, stains, chipping, and mold growth, signal that your grout is compromised and no longer maintains its bonding strength. If you notice these issues, cleaning alone won't restore the grout's integrity. In such cases, consider complete or partial regrouting to preserve your surfaces and prevent further damage.
