"Turned out that the fix was simple -- but we wouldn't have known what to do without advice from the technician. Really appreciate the service and expertise! Only complaint was that the tech took unnecessary time asking about products we use in the dishwasher. We have no complaints about the quality of washing and drying we are getting, and we're committed to using products that don't scratch or perfume our dishes or harm the water supply. Technician asked what we use and told us to "throw that away" and use recommended products. I can understand that certain products are recommended with certain makes of appliances -- but it would have taken 20 seconds to tell us what the recommended products are without having our choices criticized. Overall, we were thrilled to be able to get sound advice/help over the phone. Thank you for offering this service! And we will definitely call again if we run into trouble."

"Technician came to the house and analyzed the problem. It was determined that the cost of repair was over the allowable Choice Home Warranty limit and it should be replaced. Choice Home Warranty issued their replacement cost. This cost was unacceptable and I challenged their figure. After some negotiation I was offered an increased settlement amount. I still balked at their offer but I was told to take it or repair my old microwave. I finally accepted their amount, even though it is still well below what it will cost me to replace the unit. I might add that the existing microwave has the convection feature and I want to replace with same features. The cost that I will receive also does not include any removal, disposal or installation costs. At this time I am debating whether I will continue with Choice Home Warranty or consider other options."

It has always been worth the monthly fee and deductibles. If you consider that most appliances today only last five years or so, breakdowns are going to be a given. Our most recent repair will require at least two service calls and an $1800 part. That more than pays for our entire year's fees."

"Billy first came out to check the gas valve for the oven. He ended up just tapping it and the oven started heating again. He explained that if the valve were to stick again, it will need to be replaced. He gave an estimate of the cost of the part. About 2 weeks later, the oven quit heating again. I called and gave the model and serial #'s and the part was ordered. Billy called when the part came in and came out the next day to install it. He was a very nice and professional person. The company called to make sure what he did was to my satisfaction. I said yes. I would recommend them to anyone who needs a repair on a major appliance or a new appliance."

"Note: I opted to replace rather than repair, so I can't really vouch for quality of work. However, I can vouch that the gentleman that came over was very nice, honest, and knowledgeable. (We even called on a Saturday and got a visit that day.) He gave us a very reasonable estimate to repair the dryer. But considering the brand and age of our dryer, we decided it would be best to replace it with a new-to-us dryer."
