"Hunter arrived and was very helpful in detailing the possible scenarios that might occur (from best to worst case) with repairing the pipe. While it did end up being worst case, his team was able to take care of it quickly and made it look good as new. Hunter even offered an easy near-fix to the main shutoff valve (a leaking old gate valve) without having to replace it, but we decided to move ahead with installing a ball valve anyway. He quickly replaced the valve and a portion of the neighboring pipe. Definitely will hire again for future work."

"Stephen was great, my tub backed up with water and my toilet would not flush, turns out my septic field needed replacing. Very responsive, reasonably priced and best of all. I didn’t have to leave my home during the repairs. I’d give 10 stars if I could."

"Water heater was leaking and needed to be replaced. Called few other plumbers, but none came near the price quoted by D & B. Techs arrived on time and worked quickly to replace water heater. Tech also replaced a leaky outside bib for cost. Next time a need a plumber no need to call around for other quotes... will be calling D & B."

"Sales rep BJ gave us good options for replacing an 18-year-old system. He was patient and understanding of our financial situation and helped us find an affordable solution. The two installers Craig and Chase did an excellent job of removing the old stuff and setting up the new in a long, long day of working in some tight spaces. The two of them never took a lunch break, putting in nearly 10 hours of solid effort, then cleaned up, removed all the waste, and spread a layer of mulch around the new condenser before leaving. I wholeheartedly recommend this company!"

FAQs for sump pump repair or replace projects in Seneca, SC

Sump pumps last about 10 years with proper maintenance and prompt repairs. Several factors can influence your sump pump’s lifespan, such as usage, environmental conditions, and installation. Premium sump pumps with heavy-duty motors and quality components tend to last longer than lower-cost models. Pedestal sump pumps usually last longer than submersible models since they’re not constantly exposed to water.

A basement French drain is a drainage system installed in basements or around a building’s foundation to redirect water and prevent flooding. This system features a trench with a perforated pipe that catches and transports water away. These systems can crack, freeze, or clog, potentially resulting in flooding or strain on your sump pump.

You can use a sump pump in your yard to minimize pooling water and landscape damage, but it’s best used in conjunction with other drainage systems. This can include French drains, trench drains, underground downspouts, and other equipment. Proper lawn care, such as soil aeration and native plants, also aids with drainage.
