"We had basement water issues with water and some mold and rotting wood that was compounded by Hurricane Sandy that led us to finally do the work.  I was fearful of being taken advantage of.   This company was recommended by a contractor that we use regularly and that we trust (Roger Williams Construction, Jarretsville). <br /> The sales representative was easy to schedule.  He was one of the most experienced men in the company.  He reviewed our property and made a specific plan to handle the problems found.  This is not a cheap proposition, especially for something that is buried in the ground or behind walls, but something we wanted done once and finally.  <br /> The work comes with a lifetime warranty and is transferable to the next home owner.  The business has been around for over 20 years.  The warranty will last as long as the company lasts. <br /> A big plus, but only mentioned in passing, was the company offered a 10% discount to Angie's List members.  I immediately became a member while we were discussing the proposal and immediately saved over $1000!! <br /> One man prepped the basement and sidewalls.  Very capable and friendly.  Took several days. <br /> A 3-4 man crew with a supervisor always on site then did the pipe, drain, and sump pump renovations and bentonite.  Took 3 days with the crew working from about 8:30 -3:30 each day.  Finished on time with as little mess as anticipated.  Project did require jackhammering cement around the basement edge and this did raise up some dust. <br /> Same one man will return to refinish the sheet rock and reinstall cabinets and appliances. <br /> Will probably need to pay to have a cleaning service come in and clean the basement and main floor to get the dust out.  Will need to pay to repaint the repaired drywall.  The carpet that was pulled away for the work does not appear damaged so hopefully it will reinstalled with little problem. <br />"

"The team fixed the foundation around our crawlspace vent and also did a full repair of our stone and brick porch. They also installed a railing on our porch. Our Sales Rep, Keith, kept us in the loop through every step of our project and the guys who completed the work were fantastic. We couldnâ t be happier with the results"

"Rich, the owner, was prompt in coming to give estimates and even came out once more when we found the 2nd crack so that it all could be checked out and repaired at the same time. He clearly explained his recommendations and helped us know to replace our basement windows (with a different company) before his company came to do the other work. Ann, his GM, was also great to work with and fielded several questions we had. The company repaired the large cracks inside and outside of the house, digging down to the footers to make sure they got whole cracks repaired and waterproofed. The cracks were repaired with mortar and coated with epoxy inside, and the outside cracks were repaired and coated with tar and plastic sheeting. Our job ended up taking longer than estimated due to lots of groundwater, clay, a pipe to dig around, and finding some concrete buried near one window that they had to jackhammer (2 days instead of 1), but the men who came out to do the job were courteous, hardworking, and kept me informed as the work was completed. It has rained a couple of times since they have done the repairs, and so far it has been great not to have water coming in near the windows or coming down the wall anymore!"

"The Crack Man promptly gave an estimate for repairing a crack in my poured concrete basement wall. He responded promptly to all of my questions. He arrived on time and the repair was done so well that the repair is barely visible. He was kind enough to do my job on short notice in order for me to put my house on the market. "They came out to determine the cause & fix for my watery finished basement & for an estimate for repair. I had three plumbing group and four foundation groups who told me it was a foundation issue & repair would cost quite a bit. Armored Basement Waterproofing inspected my basement & cut into my drywall under the sink. He found a broken connecting joint where one pipe entered another pipe for drainage. The pipe was not enough connected due to the break. When our well neutralizer automatically back-washed q 5-7 days, the volume and pressure broke the pipe & was flooding the basement. I was a little doubtful that this would cause the flooding, but that night my experienced the backwash; he said it lasted for 30 minutes, with the water dislodging the pipe & dumping about 40 gallons of water. He tried to hold the pipe inside the connecting drain but water still poured out. Although Armored Basement was here for about 30 minutes inspecting, we were not charged any fee. He saved us an expense foundation repair job ($ 8,000-10,000) that would not have helped in this case. The plumbing repair job was only $400 . Really appreciate their evaluation and honesty. If we have a foundation issue in the future, we call them first! And recommend them to friends."
