"After calling several roofing companies for pricing and availability, I scheduled a roof maintenance service with Southern Strong because they offered the best price AND could accommodate my schedule. The very next day, Wade arrived promptly, inspected my roof, and then showed me photos as he explained the situation: the flashing around the exhaust fan (as well as other places) was not properly sealed, and there were several exposed nails and penetrations. After he caulked the exposed nails and re-secured the headwall flashing, he showed me photos of the completed work. He said that if that these repairs didn't solve the problem, he would recommend replacing the flashing and the affected shingles. It is now seven months later, and I haven't had a single problem with the roof since then. I was out of state on vacation when my brother called to tell me water was pouring through his ceiling and more rain was expected. Not knowing any roofers in the Dalton area I gave Angi a try for the first time. Taylor called me within a couple hours (on a Sunday), told me he could be there in the morning. Showed up right on time. Sent me 40 pictures so I could see what was going on. Determined it was the missing brick mortar on top of the fireplace. We talked for a while, he offered to secure a tarp around it till I could get back in town for a very reasonable price. He also noticed a few shingles blown off garage and replaced those as well while he was there.
