"The young salesman they sent was very personable and knowledgeable about the products. We reviewed all our options and decided on a steel front entryway door. We were told someone would be out to measure and it would take about 2 months for the door to be customized and delivered. It was actually less than 1 month from the time of the order to full installation. The installer was excellent. He came out with 1 helper and the old door was removed and replaced within 1 1/2 hours. We are very happy with our new door and it fits nice and tight so there is no draft."

"My first time using Angie's List proved to be well worth it! I saw a deal for replacement windows through American Jewel Window Systems for a pretty good price, 5 windows for $1499. I ordered them and met with Chuck who came to my home to take the initial measurements. He was extremely friendly and knowledgeable! He showed me the options and gave me the estimate. The deal did not include the screens, which cost at an additional $10 each. The following week, the installer came by to take more measurements. Two weeks later, the company called me for an install date. 
The two installers came and were absolutely perfect. They brought in all the supplies, removed the old windows, took caution and placed cloth tarp, installed the new windows, sealed them properly, and cleaned up after themselves. I was amazed at how fast and quietly they worked. What a difference in warmth replacing a few windows can do. The rooms where the windows were replaced were always very cold. Chuck had told me I would see a huge difference when getting rid of my old aluminum ones for brand new vinyl ones. We were so pleased with the initial 5 windows, that we contacted them again and replaced an additional 11 windows in our home. 
I am extremely happy and satisfied with this decision. My house is warmer and I felt that I received a really great deal!
Will happily use them again!

Every possible inch of wall space on the entire main floor had been spackled with joint compound and a fairly large applicator as the previous owner's choice of décor.  It was filthy and hideous and the only way to change it was to completely remove and replace the sheetrock.  After interviewing a few contractors I found on Angie's List, I chose to do business with Remodeling Concepts.  After being here and watching start to finish, this is the company I plan to use for future projects. 

The owner, Derek Loughran, showed up for our initial appointment on time and was very professional throughout.  I received the estimate promptly and felt it was very fair. 

The two employees, Julio and Juachin, are two of the very best workers I have seen up to this point in time.  They were all about work.  No incessant breaks, cell phone or otherwise.  They were extremely patient with me being here and generously answered every question I asked.  They are, again, two extremely hard working individuals who have a sincere work ethic. There were a few days when I needed to be out of the house early and they cheerfully obliged and were here earlier.

I wasn't able to imagine what the living room and stairs were possible of looking like.  Now that the last day is here and the big stuff is just about finished, I am beyond amazed.  It really is like being in a new house.  The workmanship is perfection.  Not one corner was cut in any aspect of the job. I was also very comfortable leaving them alone several times.  Top shelf, all the way.

Remodeling Concepts, thank you again.  You greatly exceeded my meager expectations.  I have to admit I didn't think it was possible to transform the space into something I absolutely love and can't wait to show off.

By the way, to all those reading this review, I have not embellished or exaggerated. A few of my neighbors have already said it's like I have a whole new house!

"It was a pleasure to do business with Westside Home Improvements. Alan came and assessed what I had asked him to get done. I needed imperfections repaired to drywall in two bathrooms both bathrooms needed to be re painted, install exhaust fan and light fixture in bathroom, install hardware for doors to the bathrooms and sanding and smoothing the drywall imperfections as well. And to re install a pedestal sink. Paul was the person who did the job and he was great. He was on time and stayed until I was satisfied with everything. Very professional and courteous. "Somehow, in the line of communication, the separate estimate (including description of window to be cut/installed) did not manifest. A call to Frank Cortes of Castle in Bristol, rectified that and the cost of the additional window was quoted which seemed rather high), and when I verbalized that, it was adjusted downward to a cost that seemed fair and we moved forward. I was told by Castle that they would handle the approval of my window installation with Imagineers, the condo management company. This turned out not to be the case. I had to personally oversee this. Initially, there was a considerable amount of phone calling and emailing that took place to get everyone 'on the same page' relevant to the building permit and the architectural drawing of the new window. Never having owned a condo before, it was a huge learning process for me. There were many twists and turns and at times I was ready to throw in the proverbial towel; but, thanks to the intervention of a wonderful consultant here in Glastonbury who stepped in and took over the reins at the last moment, the proper/necessary information on the actual construction of the new window was accomplished, the building permit achieved, approval from the management company and the condo association board was granted, and a date was set for the install. On the day of the install, a crew of three men arrived. They were extremely well trained, courteous, and respectful of my home. Protective coverings were laid down wherever they were working. They were an impressive team who chattered easily amongst themselves and the install was seamless. The lead installer, Victor, answered any questions I had and made me feel very comfortable that all would go well. His workmanship was impeccable. The cutting into the wall in the bedroom was done with complete attention to detail and the finished product was perfection! It was a long day but worth every single minute. When they were finished, the yard surrounding my condo was strewn with debris that completely disappeared before they departed. I can honestly say that from start to finish, the window installers were nothing less than completely professional. My dealings with Mike at (headquarters?) in New Jersey were always addressed promptly and professionally. There may have been one or two minor glitches, but were more to do with communication and were always resolved. In summary: I have only great things to say about Castle Windows. Do I think I may have spent less with another company? Possibly. But, in hindsight, I do not regret my choice, and I would highly recommend: the company, the employees.....and the product! Class A quality all the way around."
