"From the initial estimate to the completion of the work, it was a pleasure using Ken and his assistant Warren. They started when they said they would and stayed a bit longer than planned to make sure they had thoroughly cleaned up around the work area. Prior to starting the process, they placed protective covers and tarps over the adjacent floor areas. They were careful to contain the grinding slurry using a wet vac to remove excess material. It took repeated passes with the finer and finer grit pads to achieve the final results, but my wife and I are very pleased with the outcome. Even the other tradesmen working in the house were impressed with the improvement. In addition to the refinishing, Ken took time to offer suggestions on maintaining the floor finish along with warnings about what cleaning practices should be avoided."

"Allen Floors catered to my every need.  They agreed to install carpet hours after closing on my new home.  When that day changed, the day before, they quickly adjusted.  This happened twice!  I wouldn't have ever expected this, but was certainly happy that they made it work for me, especially since I had movers coming in hours later.  The carpet choices were vast, and for me working in Allen, their storefront was very conveniently located.  Highly recommend doing business with Allen Floors.

"Josh and his team did a very good job for us. We were working under a very tight timeline, and had several challenges to overcome, but in the end, we are happy with the finished product. We had 3 bids, and Josh's was, by far, the most affordable. It took us a while to find the exact carpet I wanted, but Josh jumped through many hoops to get me what I wanted, which I really appreciated. I was put into direct contact with the hardwood installer crew, which made me feel very comfortable. I'm very hands on when it comes to remodeling in my house, especially when my husband puts me in charge of it, and this was a first for me. This company is fairly small, so expect some nuances associated with small companies. However, the positives outweighed the negatives for sure. I have already referred them to another family, and would choose to work with them again if given the opportunity. Thank you very much, Josh & team!

"Kelly (saleswoman) came out to the house and gave a very thorough assessment and quote for the engineered hardwood installation and gave us some great advice on what to do for the stairs, etc.  The quote was comparable, if not a little lower, than most of the other places we had talked to.  However, the carpet was quoted too low and we ended up paying more for a better quality product which I'm glad we did..it looks great.  We had a scheduled install date but it ended up being postponed a few days before due to the installer being behind on another job.  Unfortunately, none of the dates worked for us so the install was pushed back by 2 weeks.  
The install crew (Jose was lead) were prompt, kind and performed quality work even with our constantly barking dogs.  The baseboards are pretty banged up and there are scuffs on walls but we can deal with a little painting for beautiful floors.  Overall, I was very happy with the installation and the floors look great.  
The carpet guy was supposed to follow 2 days after the other installers.  However, he never showed and when I called the Fine Floors store, I was told that the installer couldn't get ahold of me the day before the install and thus cancelled (I never received a call or message).  He ended up coming on Sunday and he was nice as can be and the stairs look great.  
Overall, we had a good experience with the quality of the work and the installation teams.  I just wish there would've been better follow up from the business."
