"Everything looks absolutely gorgeous! Finishing work had great attention to detail. Plumbing was corrected to make our chosen bathroom fixtures work for the space. Drywall, paint, ceilings, floors, new french door to outside, new siding and paint outside, new covered porch, all done with professional timing and attitude. "They did not arrive until after 12pm every day. We have young kids and asked that they be gone by 5pm everyday for dinner and bedtime routines. Their showing up at 12pm, meant they had to either work past 5pm, or come back for longer. The job took 5 days. On the second to last day they did not leave our house until almost midnight. They drank our beer in garage (which we didn’t realize until we saw cans sitting all over the place), took multiple smoke and phone breaks and just sat out there for long periods of time. Our house was left a complete mess which required me to spend hours removing glue from the wood floors, door handles, and bathroom sink. They left glue buckets and other trash all over the garage. Debris was everywhere in our home as they did not to prevent this (dust from sawing, etc.). He ended up redoing the first room he did, at our request because they just floated the wood and it was terrible (not their fault). At the time of discussion he said he didn’t want to charge us anymore. We took this to mean there would be no charge. The night before the job ended my husband gave them a check for the agreed upon amount. He then emailed and texted me (the wife) the next day, saying my husband “forgot” to pay him the $250 for pulling up the floor and glueing it. We went back and forth multiple times discussing the fact that he did not “forget” and that Chad has never clearly expressed to us that there would be additional costs for this. Especially considering all the cleanup WE had to do All in all the floors look good. The quarter round on the walls not so much. It’s not fully nailed down in all areas, there are splintered ends, and it just looks like a quick halfass job. We are happy our floors are done, but would not use their service again:"

"After a ridiculous estimate from a prior contractor, whom I fired, I called G&G and another local company.  Both came out for estimates as scheduled.  G&Gs estimate was a hair higher, but I felt more comfortable with them than the other company.
Amanda was easily reachable and everything was easily scheduled around my personal schedule.
The crew arrived early the day of the job and promptly began to work.  They didn't mind at all that I watched, as I wanted to see the damaged plywood they'd be removing.  The main roof was completed in a day.  The sunroof roof and gutters were completed the next day.  Due to weather, the shutters were installed on the third day.  A few bits and pieces of the sunroof work were left behind, but nothing to complain about.
Although the other estimate for the main roof was a tad higher than the other company, the sunroom roof and gutter prices easily made up for it.  They also sent out a guy to pressure wash the house after the work was complete....fabulous!!!
I look forward to working with them again on further projects...and highly recommend them to other Angie's List members.

"The piping under our sink had been leaking for some time before we bought the home, and the previous owners had covered it up with a ?false floor? and tiles to hide the damage.  We contacted Mr. Palumb and he came over and gave us an estimate to repair the damage. We decided to go ahead and re model the kitchen, since the repair work was going to be extensive.   We trusted Mr. Palumb and were happy with the price and his suggestions.  Mr. Palumb finished up the work in a month and informed us that if anything were wrong with the work, that he would come back and fix it.  He said to make a list, which he referred to as a ?punch list.? We were happy that the kitchen was done and the nightmare plumbing issue and water damage were resolved.  After the work was completed, we began noticing a couple of flaws in the kitchen. We also noticed that in the sun room behind the kitchen, there was exposed piping; Mr. Palumb had removed the wall outside to gain access to the piping, but did not cover it.  Additionally, debris and a large segment of drywall were left in our sun room.  After contacting Mr. Palumb about these issues, he gave us a date that he would come back and fix the kitchen.  My husband took a day of leave for this project, and Mr. Palumb did not show up.  We called him again and scheduled another day for the project, with myself taking time off from work.  When he arrived, he fixed what needed to be fixed, which we were generally happy about it. When I asked about the exposed piping, he said that he would have to buy a whole roll of insulation for just a tiny piece, so it would be better if we did it ourselves.  He also cut a hole in the drywall to place a shut off valve for the outdoor pipe.  He told us we could put a panel over the hole to gain access to the shut off valve.  Unfortunately, the hole was too big for any panels found at the store and required a drywall patch job and re-cutting of the drywall to fit the panel, which we had to fix ourselves.  Mr. Palumb also left a mess in our sun room, which included a large amount of sawdust, nails on the floor, building debris, and dried caulking on the brick floor.  Today we discovered some leaking under the sink.  When we investigated the leak, we discovered that the pipe Mr. Palumb installed had a crack!  We are now cleaning up the area and figuring out how to repair the damage0
