"I had called several landscapers prior to contacting Eric at Environmental Concepts. No one seemed to have any idea about what to do with the bank besides erecting a wall which we did not want to do because of cost and the location. It would have been in an area that was not visible to anyone and would not have added any asthetic value to the landscaping. Eric came to look at the bank and suggested the No Mow grass to prevent the bank from eroding and the low maintenance of the No Mow. Since the parking pad was not paved yet Eric told us to call when we knew the scheduled date for the paving so he could do the work after. Once we got the date for the paving in the spring Eric was already very busy and very politely worked us into his busy schedule. We were not located in his immediate area so it was especially nice of him. The work was done very professionally and Eric gave me literature about the No Mow as to watering, mowing etc. I followed the instructions and the seed grew nicely into a beautiful patch of No Mow grass which we allowed to "fall over".I didn't write the review right away because I wanted to see how the No Mow would be once established after a year. I am very satisfied with it and it was the right solution to our problem thanks to Eric.

I really felt he was my advocate. His written proposal came to me by email a few days later and was clear and thorough. "Trevor and his crew did an excellent job installing a concrete pad for our hot tub. He and his crew first had to remove existing foliage before the concrete could be poured. He was even able to save some as a buffer from the neighbors, Trevor and his crew were friendly and polite, willing to discuss what and how they were approaching the job. We would highly recommend Matthews Construction and Trevor Matthews and his outstanding crew. I would certainly hire them again if I ever need this kind of work done."

"Don’t let the name fool you! They do it all! High end landscaping, total renovations and remodeling, waterproofing, whatever you need, they do it and not only do they do it, but they’re the Michael Jordan of everything they do! They installed high end artificial turf in my backyard and renovated my detached garage and turned it into an apartment. They removed the garage door, built the exterior block wall, rebuilt the soffits, framed the inside, installed the drywall, flooring, cabinets, countertops, bathrooms, kitchen and waterproofed my basement. Not only did they waterproof it, but they found the leak, fixed it and saved me $35,000 from hiring a company that was supposed to be waterproofing only, that never identified or found the leak. "I had to purchase material needed for the repair prior to the guy coming which wasn't ideal since I wasn't 100% sure what was needed but I got it close enough and he took the area apart and patched it up and gave me very clear instructions on what to do to give it the best chance of lasting (second coat of paint and checking the caulking in a few weeks). Very helpful and it turns out that all of the leaking, including what I thought was seeping under the wall, was from this area of rot and we've had no more problems in the 10 months since the repair was done. "It is a relatively small back yard. It was in need of being leveled off, grass seed planted, weeds destroyed, etc. The landscapers suggested building a low wall with concrete blocks, thus raising the level of the grass plot, then filling that in and planting the seed. This was a good idea, and a very effective solution to a problem area. I rated some parts of the work a "B" because I did not want to mislead readers into thinking that this was a larger or more complex project than it was. I was quite satisfied with the work."
