We received Jeff's name/number from a family member who had Bowen Contracting put in a new deck at his house. After seeing how perfect his deck came out, we called Jeff Bowen the next morning. Jeff came out later that day to give us an estimate. My wife and I were sold almost immediately. Jeff answered ALL of our questions (and we had a lot) with an expertise and confidence that was reassuring and welcomed. He was patient and thorough in describing the entire process and timeline. He even offered assistance with some contracting knowledge on a DIY project I was working on in my house at the time. We told him what we had in mind, and he guided us in a direction that worked not only for us and our budget, but also what would look best with our house and yard space. He kept us in the loop through the entire process, answered all our emails/texts in a timely fashion, and never tried to keep anything hidden. If it was not for the many days of rain we had during the building stages, the deck would have been finished in under a week for sure. They cleaned EVERY spindle top to bottom, mopped and hosed down the deck, and cleaned the grass of every screw, wood chip, etc. They really take GREAT PRIDE in what they do, and it shows in how they work, how they carry themselves, and how they interact with customers. We are truly grateful to have hired Bowen Contracting and have shared his card with ALL of our neighbors--one of whom has already hired him for their own deck. We would like to finish our basement in the near future, and Jeff Bowen and Bowen Contracting Inc. will surely be our first call. "I would give this company 10 stars if I could! My 120-year-old home needed new porch columns. They were cracking & sinking on one end. I did have a couple of contractors out. Their plans were either incredibly elaborate & not keeping with the home's design or more like "sand and paint" & it should better! I was frustrated worried they would collapse, doing great damage to my lovely home. Along came Mr Moffei who immediately said what he could do (exactly what was needed), the probable time frame (since columns needed to be ordered) and quoted a very reasonable price. Columns came in about a week. Old ones removed (and one DID crumble) and porch leveled. The paint and trim work had to wait another week due to weather & it was worth the wait. The job was efficient, the workers so pleasant and it looks magnificent. So good I have spent days scrubbing the porch furniture, pressure washing the porch floor and stone walls, shopping for new cushions & a few more plants. A+++++"

Sometimes all it takes is a response for your work needed request, with that being said Veterans Construction was not only the quickest to respond they were the only one to respond! Guess my 12x16 deck in Composite material wasn't a big enough job for any others? After first call from Veterans Construction which was shortly after my request was made. Mike came out the next morning like he said he would; to go over the ideas I had for my deck. He put together some plans and drew them up and had them along with plans and pictures e-mailed to me in the time frame he gave me. Well, we agreed on price, plans and time frames. After sleeping on it for a night I called Mike the next morning with some hesitation due to wanting to change my plans on deck design some.
